Baker Ross sent us a lovely selection of Christmas art and craft kits to review. Included was some very festive Gingerbread House Photo Frames and Santa Mix & Match Decoration Kits. We love arts & crafts, especially Christmas themed ones. These are the perfect creative activity for children.

First of all we tried out the gingerbread house frames!


The Gingerbread House Photo Frame Kits are priced at just £2.99 (currently on sale for £1.49 at the time of writing this review - An absolute bargain and I highly recommend!!) for a pack of five. Each kit includes five mini kits including the ginger bread house foam shapes, self adhesive stickers and ribbons - Everything you need to make your gingerbread house photo frames.


First of all we picked our our decorative stickers and then chose a 'Photo' to stick in our frame. We used old Christmas cards and cut them to the right shape. Ellie choose Santa! (This is also a great way to use old Christmas cards and gift tags. I'm all for recycling and re-using and this is a perfect craft activity for doing just that!)
After we had stuck the picture in the frame (no glue required as ALL the shapes and stickers are self adhesive) Ellie was all "YAY! Time to decorate and make my gingerbread house look Christmasy"
The decorative shapes are SO easy to use. You simply just peel off the back of each foam sticker shape and stick it in place on the gingerbread house. Ellie thought this was fantastic and really enjoyed sticking on her shapes!
The ribbon is very easy to thread through the (already pierced) hole. These would be perfect for hanging on the Christmas tree! We can't wait to put ours up next week and display our decorations!

Next we decided to make our Santa's using the Santa mix & match decoration kits.


Each kit includes six individual kits and everything you need to make your Santa decorations - Self Adhesive foam stickers, six Santa's and the ribbons to hang the Santa with.


First of all we picked our Santa's and then stuck on the decorations "I love Santa's glasses" Ellie told me. "I also really like the hats, they're super cool" Bless her.


Like the Photo Frames, the sticker decorations (belts, hats, glasses etc) are all self adhesive. No glue is needed and they make minimal mess (My kind of activity - No mess to clear up, haha)

The Santa mix & match decoration kits are priced at £2.99 and are well and truly worth every penny. They're fun, easy and very festive - Perfect for this time of year. We really enjoyed making these, too! Baker Ross sell such a wide range of Christmas arts and crafts for little ones, all very reasonably priced, too.

Baker Ross sent us these rather lovely Scratch art scenes to try. They're festive and Christmas themed and perfect for this time of year! My children couldn't wait to try them!


Each Christmas scratch art kit contains 6 assorted Christmas scenes including Santa, Snowman, Robin and Elf. Each scene is supplied with a scratch tool.The scratch tool is plastic and perfect for little fingers. Although for younger children I would recommend adult supervision. My children are 13, 11 and 9 years old and they had no trouble scratching off there scenes themselves.


Ellie choose to scratch off Santa Claus because he's her favourite person in the whole entire world - So she informed me, haha. I wonder why?! Hehe.


As my children started scratching the scenes, they uncovered some lovely colours! "WOW! These are SO cool" Ellie told us. "They're so bright. I wonder what other colours are underneath the black layer" To scratch off the black layer, you simply use the tool and gently rub off the top layer. Which then reveals the colours underneath. The tool iself has a pointed end and a flat end. We found using the flat end for larger spaces and the pointed end for smaller spaces and corners was really easy!

Charlie also joined in and so did my eldest son.

Charlie chose the penguin. "I really like that it's multi coloured and colourful" Charlie declared. It took the kids about half an hour to scratch off there pictures! It was great fun. They really enjoyed scratching off the layer to reveal a colourful picture. They'll look lovely on my fridge! Very festive and wintry.
Harry choose the Elf, he was quite impressed, too! He's a teenager so getting him to join in anything is hard work but he actually couldn't wait to scratch off his Elf! And he even enjoyed doing so! It was lovely to have the children all around the table together doing a Christmasy activity.


Aren't they brilliant?
Priced at just £2.95 for a pack of six, they are well worth every penny. They're fun, easy and a great festive activity for children (or adults - I'm a big kid and of course had to have a go myself, haha)
These would make a great stocking filler, too!
(Harry insisted that Ellie held up the elf so I could take a photo! Is it just my teenager that is camera shy?!)

Baker Ross kindly sent us this very festive Elf Mix & Match Decoration Kits to review. We love arts and crafts, especially at Christmas! My children enjoy being creative. Baker Ross sell a very wide range of Christmas art and craft supplies for children. 

We couldn't wait to make our Elves.

No glue is required as the decorations are self adhesive. Ellie couldn't wait to decorate her elf, she mixed and matched the clothes and faces. "I really like the hats" Ellie told me. Charlie thought the candy canes were a lovely touch, too! Elf size is approx. 13cm.


The decorations are self adhesive which means no glue is required. One thing I really like about these Elf Mix And Match Decoration Kits is the fact that little is mess is made! 
The kids had no trouble creating there elves themselves. Ellie loved that the elves shoes and gloves could be mixed and matched! In the top of the hat is a little hole, just big enough to thread the ribbon through. 


"These will look so Christmasy on our tree" Ellie said. "I wonder if Santa will know we made them?" She asked me. Bless her. Both Ellie and Charlie commented on how fun they are to make.


We are so excited to put our Christmas tree up in a couple of weeks, these will look truly lovely hanging on the Christmas tree! As my children are getting older, I really like to keep there creative projects for keepsakes and these are perfect! My children really enjoyed making these little elves. 



Priced at just £3.49 for a pack of six, I personally think they are well worth the money. They're fun, creative and kept the kids entertained for a while! They also make no mess, which is always a plus, haha.

In our box of goodies we were sent from YellowMoon were these festive Reindeer gift bag kits. Ellie & Charlie could not wait to make these! They had already decided that they're going to fill them with sweets and treats and gift to Nanna & Grandad for Christmas.




Each pack includes for kits. Enough supplies to make four reindeer gift bags. Including the foam shapes (some which are self adhesive), goggly eyes and the brown paper gift bags.
You will also need some PVA glue (for sticking the antlers and ears on).


First of all we peeled the back off of the (what will be) the reindeer's face, it's self adhesive and stuck perfectly onto the bag. Next up Ellie and Charlie stuck the reindeer's collars on and then we glued on the antlers and ears! "Ohhh it's already looking like a reindeer" Ellie told me proudly. And Charlie said "I really like this activity, it's really fun! I think Nanna and Grandad will really like these bags a lot! And we won't need to wrap the presents" Bless him.

Ellie was all "Yes! Pink ears are my favourite! And I love his big, red sparkly nose on! I'm calling my reindeer Rudolph!" And then she proceeded with singing 'Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer' whilst making her festive bag, haha.


The kids really, really enjoyed this festive craft. They didn't need any help from me and it kept them busy for a good twenty five minutes or so. They really took there time placing all the shapes in the right places and making them look cute! The bag sizes are 11x12cm and they have a little handle on the top, making them easy to carry. The kids are very proud of these bags and excited to gift them at Christmas.
I can see this becoming a new tradition - Making Christmas bags to fill with gifts and treats for the Grandparents.


Don't they look adorable? (Minus the falling ear, haha and the PVA dried clear!)

In our box of arts and craft supplies that Yellow moon sent us to review were these very festive Christmas glasses.

The Christmas glasses kit contains four sets of glasses, the foam self adhesive shapes to decorate the glasses, some googly eyes and of course the glasses themselves (4 assorted designs).


We decorated the penguin and santa pairs of glasses.

Ellie got stuck right into this along with her 4 year old cousin. The glasses are made of plastic and the shapes are made of foam.


We checked all the contents of our kits and started decorating straight away! The foam self adhesive shapes just peel off and stick straight onto the glasses.


"They peel off so easy and stick so well" Ellie told me, she's right! It's very easy to do and great fun. Her four year old cousin had no problem decorating the Santa glasses!


It took about ten minutes to finish the glasses. Ellie pointed how much she loved the little hat and scarf on her penguin glasses. "Super dupet cute" she told me. I did have to help sticking the gooly eyes on though as they were a bit fiddly, but I don't mind.

These gasses are the perfect Christmas craft activity for children aged three years and over. They make no mess and the kids can do them all by themselves! It's a quick and easy craft project for the kids and I also feel they'd make a lovely stocking filler too.
"I'm going to wear these to my school Christmas party" she declared, rather proudly I might add! Bless her.



Priced at just £3.99, they are well worth the money in my opinion. I would recommend these and we certainly make them again. :)
