Bladez Toyz are an international company that specialise in design and development and distribution of the must have toys. They sell a wide range of radio controlled toys, boys toys, girls toys, outdoors toys, preschool and so much more!
I was asked if we would like to review a couple of Radio Controlled Inflatable toys from Bladez Toyz. I hadn't heard of radio controlled inflatable toys before so I of course said yes, knowing that my children would truly enjoy trying and testing these new toys!
We were sent the Disney Star Wars BB8 and a Thunderbird 2 inflatable to try.
We eagerly opened the BB-8 inflatable first and straight away I noticed how easy this would be to put together. The controller, the inflatable and of course the wheels are included in the box. There's also an instruction manual and a vinyl plastic repair patch included, too. The plastic part - The wheels or 'drive' part - just slot into place on the bottom of the BB-8 inflatable.
We attached the wheels before inflating the BB-8. Inflating the BB8 by mouth literally took 2 minutes, it's super easy and fast!
We inserted the batteries* into the bottom of the drive part (wheels) and the controller. You will need a small screw driver to un-do the little screw of the battery compartment. (I may have used a butter knife because the screwdrivers are in the shed.. The shed where there are big hairy spiders which terrify me, haha). We were ready to test out BB-8! "This is going to be epic" Charlie said.
At 43cm tall it is a really good size! Can be used indoors and outdoors, too!
It's easy to control using the control pad and it's super easy to spin, too! It also has a "sound" function and when turned on, the BB-8 makes Star Wars noises from the original star wars movie which Ellie thought was "SUPER AWESOME" and Charlie was impressed with how fast it goes.
The controller has a backwards and forwards button as well as a left and right. It's very easy to use and perfect for little hands! The drive range is up to 30 metres which is a really good distance!
It isn't at all heavy and is very light which is perfect for little ones to pick up. Because it's so light it can actually go quite fast! We tested it inside and outside (while it was dry outside! I wouldn't recommend using the inflatables on wet ground and make sure the surface is quite flat and no sharp objects). Requires 4xAA 1x9V batteries. (Not Included).
You can purchase the radio controlled BB8 from Argos.
The Thunderbird 2 was also very easy to inflate! This one came with the wheels already slotted into place on the bottom of the Thunderbird. There is also a vinyl plastic repair patch and instruction booklet also included along with the control pad.
We put the batteries in and away we went! It's a good size - 40 x 45 x 20cm and weighs only 0.43kg. It's ever so light!
Charlie said "I really like how you can turn the sounds off and on" And Ellie was all "I prefer the sounds ON because they sound so cool" Bless 'em.
On the bottom of the inflatables there is an off switch and on switch and also a "mute" switch, meaning you can turn the sounds off if you'd prefer. Charlie and Ellie absolutley love racing each other with there inflatables! They are honestly so much fun.
The kids have been racing all around the house with them, hehe. They work better on flat surfaces. Again, the controller on the Thunderbird inflatable has a backwards, forwards, left and right button, it's very simple to use!
The Thunderbird 2 can also be used indoors or outdoors.
The radio controlled Thunderbird 2 can be purchased from Bladeztoyz priced at £24.99. (Batteries are not included) My children have had endless fun for hours! We found the batteries last really well, too! Even my teenage son has been playing with the Thunderbird 2, too!
Please note these can not be used in water and keep fingers away from spinning wheels
In my opinion, they are well worth the money. They're good quality and very robust. I really like the fact they can be deflated and stored back in the box to save space! They're SO much fun and so easy to use. These would make a lovely gift for any child aged 3 years and over.
Hatch N Heroes is a new exciting range of characters and heros from Bandai. Hatch N Heroes characters come in the shape of an egg. The egg then folds out, in a few simple steps and changes into the character. The characters include Big Hero 6 Baymax, Nemo, Olaf, Toy story characters along with a few others, too.
We were sent Big Hero 6 and Olaf. Now, Ellie could not wait to get into these. She is really into Big Hero 6 at the moment and she also loves Olaf, too. You can imagine how excited she was to play with these Hatch N Heroes toys.
First of all we opened Big Hero 6. Ellie was SO excited to see him fold him. His head and arms were tucked inside the egg.
It didn't take her long to figure out how to unfold him from the egg! "This is so cool" She told me.
Next we opened Olaf. "I like his hat and stick" Ellie declared excitedly. Olaf does come with his hat and walking stick. He is also in the shape of an egg, his head and arms are folded up inside the egg.
The hat just slots onto the top of his head once he is folded out and he has a little clicky part on the back of his hand to enable him to hold the walking stick.
Ellie has had so much fun with these! She enjoys playing with them a lot and now would like to collect the rest of the characters, which have been added to her (ever growing) Christmas list.
The Hatch N Hero toys are priced at £5.99 and are retailers include Tesco, Demenhams, Toys R Us and Smyths.
I think these would make lovely stocking fillers and gifts for children.
The manufactures age recommended is 4-12 years. Ellie is 8 years old and these are perfect for her in my opinion.

Yellowmoon sent us these Star Glitter Wands Kits to review. Ellie was super excited because she loves being creative and she loves glitter, so this wand kit was a huge hit with her.
Each kit has four kits to make four stars wands.
4 assorted colours (red, blue, orange and purple)
A foam star shape, some tony foam self adhesive squares.
Ribbon
And a stick.
Instructions are also included.
Priced at £3.75.
You will also need some PVA glue for sticking the stick onto the back of the wand.
Ellie took out her foam star shape, she picked purple as purple is her favourite colour. She then began sticking on the glitter squares. The back the squares just peel off, making them easy to stick onto the star template. Ellie had trouble doing this and she found it really quite fun!
After about ten minutes, she has finished decorating her star, she asked me to help her tie the ribbons onto the stick. "Io looks like a Christmas star" She told. And yes, they are quite festive for Christmas and new year too, perhaps!
Once we'd tied on the ribbon, it was time to stick the stick onto the back of the star. We used PVA glue and waited for that to dry. I thought we'd best secure it wish a square of cellotape, which Ellie also thought wasa good idea "just in case the star fall off when I wave it around" Ellie said.
That's it. The star wand was finished. "It's so sparkly and cool" is how Ellie described it. The approximate size of the star wand when finished is 30cm.
In my opinion they are well worth the money, kept Ellie busy for a good twenty minutes with very little help from me and no mess! Definitely a winner all around. These would also make a lovely gift, a stocking filler maybe.
I would definitely recommend these to any child who enjoys being creative! Please note, these kits are aged 3+
What are your favourite festive arts and crafts activities?

Yellow moon sent us these really lovely boat ceramic coin banks to review. Now, as most of you know by now, my children really love arts & crafts. In fact, they would rather be creative and make/decorate things than play on electronics and these coin banks were no exception. They seriously could not wait to get stuck into decorating these. So much that Ellie tore the box in the process, bless her.
These come in a set of four. Four blank boat coin banks. The boats are 12cm in size. They have a coin slot in the top of the boat and a removable plastic stopper on the bottom, which is very easy to remove and put back onto the boat. The children had no problem doing this themselves.
We used the 'Gitto Metallic Decor Pens' which we were sent a while ago from Yellow Moon. These pens work on most services and leave a lovely metallic look to whatever you are colouring and decorating. They are very pretty pens and work very well on ceramic. They've completed many projects and decorated many different items in the past. They have lasted really well in my opinion.
Ellie and Charlie soon started colouring there boats in and drawing on there designs. "I'm drawing a face on mine" Charlie told me, ha, so cute.
They really enjoyed decorating there boats!
It took them a good half and hour or so to complete there boats to there own tastes and likings. Ellie loves her gold and silver boat. "It's so shiny and pretty" she was telling me. Awww.
Once the boats were completed, they dropped in a few coins and have already started saving up for a rainy day (Charlies words, haha).
They really enjoyed these ceramic coin boats. They're now sitting proudly on there window sills in the bedroom to encourage them to save up some pennies.
The boats are priced at just £4.99 for a box of four, I personally think they are well worth the money and make a lovey summer craft activity for children. I feel that these would also make a really lovely gift.

We had a fantastic Christmas. Before the little ones went to bed on Christmas eve, they opened a present each - Christmas PJs. We do love our Christmas PJs and it's a tradition to open them on Christmas evem, before going to bed.
On Christmas eve, Santa brought all the presents and put them under the Christmas tree. He ate his snacks the kids left out for him and his reindeers while everyone was fast asleep in bed.
The kids woke up really early on Christmas morning! We all crept downstairs quietly. They saw all the presents under the Christmas tree and were surprised how many there were! "I wonder who the big presents are for" Charlie asked. Bless him.
They couldn't wait to get stuck into opening there presents! Even the (almost) teen was a bit excited, not that he shows in photos of course, lol! We all sat on the couch while I passed the presents over, each taking it turns to open there presents. Such good fun!!!
As you can see, they all got some really lovely presents. I think there favourite presents were probably the electric scooters! And I must admit, they are super cool! I may or may not have had a few goes on them myself, riding them up and downs the pathway outsidemaking a fool of myself and it was such fun!
I also got some lovely gifts, a new phone, a new bag and purse and a smoothie maker! I am so lucky, hehe.
We spent the rest of the day, playing with the kids new toys, watching christmas T.V and eating! We had an amazing Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, followed b ya selection of deserts and sweet treats. It was a really amazing day, we all had a great time!
I'm truly blessed.
I think my favourite thing about Christmas day is spending it with the ones I love the most!
How was your Christmas? What's your favourite thing about Christmas day?
