I really, really love this time of year. It's my absolute favourite time of year (besides Christmas!)


It's such a beautiful time of year. It's not too hot and it's not too cold which I personally think it perfect.

 I love the colours and the scents of Autumn. Bonfires and crispy leaves. Ellie also told me today that she loves the crunchy leaves, too! Over the next week or so we're going to go on a nice Autumn walk and take lots of photos, look for conkers and acorns. Last year we made some lovely Autumn acorn faces, which the little's loved so much! We really want to achieve everything on our Autumn bucket list this year.


I also love lighting a scented candle in the evenings, either curled up on the sofa in my PJs with a good book, watching T.V or of course, blogging! I don't have any time during the day to relax, so I do enjoy a relaxing evening - having some ME time (which doesn't happen very often, I might add!) I brought this candle when it was on sale in Tescos and tonight I have lit it, it's vanilla scented and it smells divine.


The meadow always looks so beautiful this time of year. It's just a pitty that they 'trimmed' the willow tree! Oh well, it'll grow back and to be fair, it was rather over grown.


And! It's also onsie weather! Yes, Harry is wearing his Christmas onsie but it is rather cute. Can't believe how grown up he is now - he'll be ELEVEN in a couple of weeks or so. Whoa.

I also love the fact that it's almost Halloween followed by bonfire night! It's such an exciting time of year. Ohhh and wooly jumpers & boots!!
I also hope to get my bake on this week and make some Autumnal themed cakes and otehr goodies, if you have any recipes/suggestions of things I can (easily) make, let me know in the comments, or you can tweet me: @OoserzoO

The only downfall to Autumn? The spiders. Yuck! They seem to be really huge this year, too! My cat likes to chase them, I however, run in the opposite direction.

I choose to review the Yankee candle Christmas eve housewarmer jar candle.
This candle is very beautifully presented in a glass jaw with a removable lid. The glass jar is a good seal for when the candle is not being used, which keeps the fragrance locked away until you're ready to use the candle again. The candle it's self is a really pretty, Christmasy red colour. This candle really looks attractive and is practical too.

Not only is it attractive and practical but it smells amazing, too! It has a really festive scent and certainly got me in the festive spirit! I personally think the scent is quite unique. I really can not get enough. I am totally addicted to these scented candles now, lol! This festive candle would make a lovely gift for someone.

I was also sent these awesome Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie tea light candles (a box of twelve). These also smell amazing! What a a better smell than cookies? They really do smell like cookies! The smell is really powerful. Mmmm. They burn for 4-6 hours per tea light and they look really lovely, too. 
These would also make a lovelty gift for someone, I really can't get enough of these either. Amazing! These cookie scented candles are also a wonderful way to enter the holiday season!

I was sent these candles for the purpose of this review. This is my own, personal, honest opinion.

Jewel Candle are a company who make handmade scented candles but that's not all. Every single candle contains a hidden surprise. There is jewel worth between £10 and £250 in every single candle. As you burn the candle, the jewel will be revealed. You have the choice of either choosing a candle that contains a ring or a candle that contains a pair of earrings. There is a choice of six scented ring candles to choose from:

I picked the Pink Cherry (ring) candle to review. 



As soon as it arrived I couldn't wait to open it and get it lighted. The aroma is absolutely beautiful and very relaxing. It really did smell like cherries and filled my room with a fruity cherry scent. I lit it for a few hours and then I could see the ring inside. The ring is wrapped in a heat resistant foil, so the heat doesn't damage the ring. I couldn't wait to get the ring out so I used a spoon - I know, I know, totally inpatient! In my candle was a silver ring worth £35! What a good deal! And the ring is gorgeous, too. It fits perfectly on my finger! Not only have I got a beautiful scented candle that makes my home smell all cherry-licious but I also have a new ring. What more could one want?! Well actually... I already want another one, lol! I know what's going on my Christmas wish list ;)



If your stuck for a gift idea Jewel Candles would make the perfect gift 'for her' whether it be your mum, girlfriend, wife, sister, best friend, mother-in-law, auntie, grandma etc, I think that most ladies would love a Jewel candle. I know my mum would love one of these! And at just £24.95 for a ring candle and £16.95 for an earring candle, I'd say it would make the perfect unique, special gift, you really can not go wrong.
