I am thankful for Autumn. I SO love this time of year. We're going to try and achieve everything on our bucket list!

I am really gratefulthat the weather is actually pretty mild for this time of year. It has been a bit wet and windy today but even so it's not proper cold. Yet.





Look how long E's hair has got. Seriously, it's taken a long time, her whole life in fact -for it to grow this long. I (reluctantly) trimmed the ends the other day! Her fringe has almost grown out too! I loveeee her hair so much! Also, I am getting slightly better at french plaits. Practice makes perfect!  


I'm so glad tomorrow is Friday! This week has dragged. I'm looking forward to a lay in at the weekend, I've been feeling ever so tired lately.

Did you know it's national baking weekfrom 13th - 19th October? I didn't know that until this morning to be fair.

Anyway.

We made Halloween cupcakes on Sunday! I know it's a little early to make Halloween cakes but you know? Cake is cake and we love cake. I had so many Halloween cake decorations left over from last year, I thought I would use them up before opening the new cake decorations.

I used my good old cupcake recipe that I posted here. Only, instead of using vanilla falvouring, I used caramel (because I had no vanilla), the kids REALLY loved the caramel flavoured cupcakes!


I also had a lot of other cupcake decorations to use up, so we made some random ones, too!



We're going to be doing some more Halloween and Autumn baking over the next couple of weeks. I love baking at this time of year and to be honest, I really need to get back into baking.

On Saturday, Ellie and I spent some time in the garden, enjoying the really nice weather! The boys were spending some time with there dad, which gave Ellie and I to have some time together! As it was such a lovely day I thought we would make the most of the weather.

Ellie wanted to play with her sesame street toys outside in the garden. "They need fresh air" she told me, bless her. I thought I'd snap a few pics! I managed to also read a couple of chapters of my book in the sunshine, while Ellie read her book to her toy friends, aww.





We made some lovely memories playing outside on Saturday! I'm glad we made the most of the really good weather because it's been really wet, cold, rainy and windy today!
