This past week, the week before half term has been a busy one! It's been full of parents evening, rugby matches at school and meet the tutor appointments!


Firstly, I had an appointment with Ellie's teacher to hear about her progress and how she's doing at school! Now, it did take her sometime to settle into her new school but I am really pleased to say she has settled in really well now and is really knuckling down with her school work! Her hand writing has improved tremendously as has her reading. She's doing well in all subjects and we're currently working on her 4 and 5 times tables at home. She has some maths homework to do this half term, which will keep her busy.
I am so, so proud of how well she's doing at school, especially with her reading. She is really trying to do her best, bless her.

Next I saw Charlie's teacher. As most of my regular readers are aware, it's his final year at primary school (I know, I can't believe it either). So it's an important year for him, getting ready and prepared for high school. I wrote about how we went to look around the high school and how excited Charlie is about starting there next September!
His hand writing has also improved a lot and he is doing so well in all subjects and has come top of the class on a couple of occasions, mainly for maths. He can use number squares and really quite confident with school work! Which of course I am super proud about. He's really working hard and doing his absolute best. Charlie joined in with a Rugby tag thing at school, which he did really well with and got a certificate for, bless him. He can't wait to do it again and is hoping to join the rugby team soon.

One day after school, I met Harry's tutor! She seems really lovely and had lots of good things to say about Harry. She asked if he's enjoying school, which he is of course. She asked how he's settling in and if he had any questions. He didn't. I chat with her about how Harry is settling in and she told me he's made lots of friends and is polite and helpful (If only he was like that at home, haha). He was really proud to show me around the library, where we met his tutor. And I met a couple of his friends that he's made since he started high school. I am also really proud of him. He doesn't like change but he has adapted so, so well. I can't wait for his parents evening, which I believe is next month.

Harry has also been picked for the rugby team. Which, honestly, I was quite surprised about because he has never really shown much interest in rugby before. Football, yes. Rugby no. I was a little apprehensive and wondered if it would be something he would stick at. He had his first practice match this past week and he played really well. He seemed to really enjoy it and already has another match set up for next month! Harry is super excited about it.I was really proud standing on the side line, supporting Harry and his team in rugby. I can honestly say, I think rugby is something Harry will stick at. I love that he's so sporty. All three of my children are quite sporty and outdoorsy, I am so proud of them all ♥

Snapfish asked me if I would like to review there coasters. Me being me and how much I love being creative and taking photos, jumped at the chance.


I couldn't wait to create my own personalised coaster sets. I created the coasters myself and added in some of my favourite inspirational quotes. And lets face it, who doesn't want some inspiration and positive vibes in there life?! The website is very simple and fast to use. I simply uploaded my image to snapfish and then dropped and dragged each image onto the front of the coasters. I was quite impressed with how fast they uploaded. You cab upload straight from your computer, Facebook or Flickr. The coasters come in a set of six, priced at £9.99.

There are many web apps, phone apps and editing software programs that you can use to create your own coasters. I used an app on my phone and picmonkey (all free!) to create my coasters. I really enjoy being creative.

 A few days later, I received my coasters in a lovely little package, which was well protected so my coasters didn't get damaged in transit. I was surprised how fast they arrived! I was also surprised at how clear and how exact the colours are on the coasters. They look stunning.

The coasters have a cork backing and are just the right thickness. The coasters are heat resistant and have a non slip backing. The front of the coasters are quite glossy and they look beautiful. In my opinion these are really great quality! Each coaster measures 4x4x1.8". They are just the right size, they look amazing and are well worth the money. The coaster sets would also make a lovely, unique gift. You can print your own photos or photography, family or pet photos, quotes etc. I could honestly spend hours being creative with these coasters! The options are endless.


I'm also pleased to say that, after standing my hot cup of green tea on the coasters, there was no ring mark left! They still look like new and they're also easy to wipe over with a damp cloth. I have had so many comments from visitors saying how lovely the coasters are!


I also choose some acrylic personalised magnets to review, too! The magnets are priced at £2.99 each. Again, it was ever so simple to upload the photos to snapfish. The photos I choose were automatically cropped to fit the size of the magnet. The magnets are made from hard acrylic with a magnet on the back! I love turning my fridge into my own gallery, with my own photographs of my children, that I took myself! These would also make a really cool gift.

The magnets measure 4.5x7cm, which is a great size to display my photos!

I can't quite get my head around the fact that my eldest, my first born child is now officially twelve years old. Twelve years have passed and so much has happened in that time and yet it doesn't seem possible that it has actually be twelve years since he entered the world. It is so, so bittersweet watching him grow up. I miss him being a baby and depending on me and yet, at the same time, I love watching him grow up into a young adult and watching him achieve new things, learning new things and grow. I am so proud of him!

Harry opened a couple of gifts before school, only a couple of small ones though as there wasn't much time and we really wanted to save the main present until after school! He also had a lovely breakfast and we all wished him a very happy birthday and then off to school he went!


I didn't like the fact he had school on his Birthday. Before he started school, I'd give him a hug and a kiss at 9:35am as that's the time he was born and we'd sit and eat breakfast and watch a movie. Obviously now, he HAS to go school so we can't do that anymore, we'll have a nice breakfast and watch a movie as a family during half term next week though.  He came home all bright and excited! Telling me about his day, his friends has bought him small gifts (sweets mainly) and cards & they seemed to make his day special at school, which I thought was really lovely of them.
He actually could not wait to get through the door that he FELL in the door as I turned the key, haha. We sat down and watched Harry open his presents, bless him.
