I've started again!

As many of my regular readers know, I started the thirty day shred back in November last year. I lost almost 20lbs (or maybe just over) but then in April I moved house and had to stop doing the 30 day shred. I gained 8lbs between April and the end of May.
The week before last I started doing more walking (I already walk A LOT anyway) and getting my eating back to being healthy again. I lost 2lbs that week. Last Monday (15th) 1I started the 30 day shred again. And I'm not going to lie, It's HARD, really hard and I do struggle but I feel so good after I've done it! I am going to weigh myself every ten days this time and try not to obsess about not loosing loads of weight, I understand it might come off in inches and it's a slow process for me because of the medication I have to take.
I know I can do it though! And I will do it! Without a doubt.

On the eating side of things, I've been doing low carbs and not very much sugar. Which is great! But my goodness, I miss those (yummy) carbs. I can have carbs just in moderation. I found last time I did the ow carbs "diet" (I hate the word diet!) I lost quite a bit of weight. I am having a lot of salad and I really need to try sweet potato fries, I hear they're rather yummy!

Do you have any low carb recipes or ideas I could I try?

  1. I need to look at the 30 Day Shred, I've heard people talk about it but I don't really know what it entails. I think you'll get back into it as you did it before, good luck.

  2. I eat a lot of salad at the moment, it's certainly easier when the weather is warmer. I'm not too fussed about carbs, you do need them after all, just in moderation. Good luck with your 30 day shred thing, I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes for you. xx

  5. I have just bought the 30 day shred dvd and I AM going to start it this week..... have you tried butternut squash roasted/ rather than potatoes that way you are getting more veg in and i must say i wasn't keen but its delicious xx #sharewithme

  6. I find it easier to eat more fruit and veggies in the summer when the weather's warmer (or at least supposed to be warmer) - good luck with the shred - and I too hate the word diet! :) #FitnessTuesdays

  8. Sweet potato fries are yummy especially with some paprika sprinkled on!

    I am terrible for carbs.. I just can't give them up!

  10. Good for you for getting back on it darling it's ok to falter sometimes we are all human. So strong that you started back up again and picked up where you left off and keep motivating yourself.
