Chaotic Chaos - August Round Up.
16:23
Life has been quite hectic lately. I have had a lot going on and I really haven't been feeling myself. I think it's just that I let everything get on top of me the past couple of weeks or so and it's resulted in me falling into some kind of slump. Anyway, things should get back to normal now and I'm feeling a lot more like myself and a lot more positive in general.
I've also had headaches on and off (brain condition.. I've wrote about it before so I won't go into that again). I try not to go on about all of this to my friends and family as I feel like all I do is moan.
Blogging has seriously taken a back seat and has not been my priority lately as I have just had so much going on and I really haven't felt like blogging, or joining in on social media at all. I do feel much better now things have calmed down a lot. I am so grateful for the support I have had - I'm really grateful to my friend who messages back and fourth and my fella, my mum and just everyone who I'm close to!
I've been organsing my sister's 21st Birthday party, which was not an easy task. I won't go into details now. It's all over now and everything went great! My sister had a really wonderful night and was totally surprised! Yay! Bless her. Ha, I feel old now that my youngest sibling is TWENTY ONE! Goodness knows how my mum must feel.
I had a really lovely catch up with my friend last week. I hadn't seen her since February so you can imagine how much we had to catch up. Ellie and her daughter are best friends so they had a wonderful time catching up, too! My friends baby is now a toddler which is hard to believe. Time goes so fast. It was a wonderful day. We ventured out to the park, too! It was truly lovely.
I've discovered organising and bullet journaling and let me just say. I LOVE IT! Organsing my life is my 'new thing'. Still really loving my organiser from paperchase, which I wrote about a few weeks ago!
We've enjoyed the six weeks holidays and had walks, trips to the park, fed the ducks and had ice creams along the river. We've been out shopping, visited grandparents, been swimming. Ellie's been to birthday party and the boys have had a couple of fishing trips with there dad, they've also been to the pier and what not. Overall I think it's actually been a fairy good summer for them all!
I am wondering if I can squeeze in a trip to the arcades but we will see! If not there are plenty of weekends :) We're going on a picnic this week, which will be a lot of fun! We have explored our area a lot and found a couple of really lovely picnic spots. Yay!
I feel bittersweet about the kids going back to school. I have missed the routine a lot. I'm not looking forward to the kids actually going back to school because I'll miss them SO much! It's way too quiet when they're not here and actually quite boring but the routine will be nice to have back. Harry - my eldest son will be starting year 8 and Charlie starts year 7 (I still can't believe he's old enough for high school. I'm just getting over the fact Harry started last September and now Charlie is starting! It's crazy!) and Ellie will be in year 4. Total madness. I'm so proud of them - They're looking forward to going back and seeing all there friends. Charlie is SUPER excited about high school but I do think he's nervous about catching the school bus... At least he has Harry there to help him :)
Anyway, I'm rambeling now so I'll leave this here.
How has your summer been?

I love the sound of bullet journaling - I need to start implementing it.

ReplyDeleteWhat a jam-packed summer you have all had and it sounds like September brings brand new adventures for you all, especially for your Charlie! I'm sorry to hear that your headache are troubling you but hope you feel better soon. Discovering bullet journelling can make you feel on top of things when all around can get a bit crazy!

ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling more yourself, the blogging world has been quieter and relaxed over the summer so not a bad time for it to take a back seat. It also looks as if you've packed lots in - don't forget to send a photo over for our summer collage. Thanks for linking to #PoCoLo x

It sounds like you've had a wonderful summer. We did too and I'm so glad we were able to have so much fun. Being back at school will do them all good and having a routine again - I know it's done my boys the world of good. :)
