The one where I start being organised.

12:00

Instead of writing a list of things to actually achieve, I thought I'd write a list of things I HAVE achieved this week. I was laying in bed last night thinking about all of the things I haven't done so I thought I'd concentrate on the positives and things I have actually done this week! I've been quite productive to be fair. Especially as I've had headaches on and off this week, which have sucked.
I've been forcusing on getting organised and staying organised. It's always good to start a new year with being organised. This is one of my goals for January.

I've organised the kids board games and toys a bit better than they were. Having three children - two boys hare one room, you can imagine how much stuff they have, it really all needed oraganising properly. I bought a lovely thick card/plastic feel (hard to explain!) wooden effect storage box, that just clips together poppers and I popped all there board games in there, it's perfect until I can put some shelves up. It was well worth £5.99!

I also organised my large kitchen cupboard in the kitchen cupboard (aka the junk cupboard), anything that hasn't got a home usually gets stuffed in there by me and the kids. So. I organised it properly, detoled the shelves and now my washing powders and detergents have a home, along with the cat food (which has I bought a storage container for!). It took me a couple of hours but I did it and it looks a lot better. Now when I open the cupboard, nothing flies out and hits me on the head, haha.

I also blitzed Ellie's room and the boys room (Although the boys now needs blitzing again - boys are messy!)

I blitzed the front room (pulled the sofas out etc) and cleaned everything in sight as well as the bathroom.
I also put some new fairy lights around my bed because I have an obsession with fairy lights and they look lovely.
I've caught up with laundry and washing (although I need to put two more piles of clothes away) and managed to sort out my bedroom cupboard! I've thrown out quite a bit too. I've got a new rule 'If I/we haven't used/worn or hasn't been played with for 6 months.. BIN IT!'

I've also worked out a couple of times and been for a jog.

And there was me laying in bed, wide awake last night thinking I hadn't been very productive because I still have a lot to organise. I'd say I've done pretty well this week all things considered :)

If anyone has any organising tips, let me know in the comments! Especially toy storage because I am lacking on that.

  5. What a good way to think of things paying note to what you have achieved rather than stress over what you haven't :)
