Last week, actually, bank holiday weekend we went to an air show! It was an hour away on the bus.
We missed the start of the red arrows airshow because the bus was stuck in traffic, luckily we did see some while waiting in the traffic!


We eventually got to the seafront and watched the rest of the red arrows display and it was AMAZING! There were so many people there and i was very loud but we really enjoyed watching the red arrows.


After we watched the red arrow display, we went and got some lunch. Sausage and chips from teh fish & chip shop. It was busy, I think next year, we'll take a picnic, hehe. We sat down in the one of the parks by the seafront and ate our lunch, while watching more of the airshow! It was great fun.





We took a long walk along the seafront and had a look around some of the stalls and what not! The kids got so many freebies, pens, paper, balloons etc. We also walked along the pier and had a god on the 2p machines! Ellie and the boys all won £5 each which is rare, because usually we don't win a thing, haha. Ellie and Charlie also had a go on the little car rides and Harry had a go at penalty kick, he won a multi coloured football! He was pleased with that.



On the way back to the bus stop the kids stopped off and spent some of there money that they had won on the 2p machines, bless 'em.

We were all exhausted by the time we got home. It was a fab day!

We have been enjoying the summer holidays so far, we've had a few trips to the park and this week we also went to the beach! It was a bit breezy but it was still fun! There is also a park right on the edge of the seafront, which the kids thought was amazing!
Ellie enjoyed building sand castles on the sand and Harry had fun skimming peddles across the waves. Charlie was collecting seashells!
We also had a game of football on the beach but it was rather breezy!


After the beach we had some lunch. A fresh sausage roll from the bakers and a lovely cake! Yum! We sat at the park and ate our lunch and then the kids had a good go on the park!


They loved the pirate ship climbing frame. "This is epic" Ellie told me and it certainly looked like a lot of fun!


The swings and round about was fun too! The boys loved the swings and how they overlooked the water, so beautiful! Ellie's hair was flying all over the place in the wind but she didn't seem to mind! Bless.


We were all ready to go home after having such a fun day! I may or may not have fell asleep on the bus! LOL! Such fun! We had a wonderful day and hope for more days out very soon! :)

MAgic moments

We had an absolutley amazing summer. Fulled with lots of fun!
We had man trips to the Park and lots of outdoors games - football being the main on!


Charlie turned NINE years old! Wow. I can't believe how fast he's growing up. Madness. He had a wonderful Birthday.


We were also lucky enough to go to Liverpool and visit Speke Hall during the six weeks holidays. Speke Hall is a huge old Tudor house with lots of grounds/Gardens. The kids loved the maze best!


The little's made some really fabulous world cup posters. England got knocked out of the world cup pretty early on but that's ok, the boys supported Brazil instead. They loved being creative and decorated summer beach hut coin banks from yellow moon.


 We also had a picnic in Victoria Park in London.Which was a lot of fun! We saw the London eye and big Ben, it was super cool, even if it was just thru the window on the coach.


We had lots of lovely long walks, enjoying the sunny, warm weather!
The little's enjoyed flying there kites. They really got the hang of it ever so quickly! I am so proud of them.


 We also went to an air show along the seafront, we loved the red arrows! The little's loved watch all the airplanes do there display over the sea!


The kids really enjoyed crabbing along the river bank! It was such a warm, sunny day! We also had some chips and fed the swans & ducks.


Then it was time for the kids to go back to school. Harry started in year 6 - his last year of Primary school! Charlie started in year 5 and Ellie in year 2! They are truly growing up so fast.

At the end of summer, Ellie turned SEVEN! Whoa. She had a lovely Birthday, got lots of really lovely presents :)


We truly did have an amazing summer! We are really looking forward to Autumn!

Yesterday we went for a walk along the pier, it was such a lovely day. I think I take living by the beach for granted and we really do need to go more often! We're rather lucky.
 I forgot to take my camera though so I only had my phone, but that's ok.

The weather has been really crud this week. It's been rainy and chilly all week but we didn't let that stop us! We decided to go out any way.
We met up with some family in town and headed to the beach. We are quite lucky to live right near the beach.



The kids had great fun skimming stones across the sea and collecting shells.


We went to the fish and chip shop and got some sausage and chips for lunch - the kids favourite all time treat! We sat in a shelter a long the sea front and ate them. The birds also 'lunched' with us, lol. We fed them some of our chips. The kids love feeding the birds! "The seagulls are so noisy and greedy" said Ellie. And she's right they are noisy and greedy, but it's such great fun watching them.


We also went for a walk along the pier! The kids went on the car rides. Which they loved. Both Ellie and Charlie were like "Oh my goodness, look I can drive!!!!" Haha, so cute.


We decided to have a little look around the shops after we'd finished our walk along the pier and beach. I treated the kids to some sweets as they had been so good!
It was a lovely day, even if it was a bit miserable weather wise (although the rain held off!!) It was nice to catch up with my sisters, the kids enjoyed seeing them, too.

We went for a walk a long the beach the other day!

It was a lovely sunny day yesterday. It was lovely to see the sun, it's been raining all week and ever so windy! It was still windy yesterday but not as bad as it has been. Ellie and I went for a walk along the seafront with my brother, sister in law and niece. It was lovely to get out but we weren't out long because it was cold and the wind was picking up again.



We were gonna look for shells but it was too cold and breezy. We went for a short walk on the beach and under the pier! Ellie found a ball that someone had obviously left... or that the wind had blown, lol. I took lots of photos of the waves. The waves were quite 'choppy' I certainly wouldn't want to be under the pier when the wind is bad, that's for sure lol. Ellie didn't seem to mind though. (The boy were at there dads btw)


After the beach, we went to the park for a little while. It was a little bit muddy but that's ok. Ellie had a good half an hour playing before she wanted to leave. We found some huge pine cones. We're gonna paint those another day, hehe.






It was lovely to get for a while. We have been coped up inside for what feels like months, not good! Hopefully we'll be able to go out and about this half term, as long as it's not windy and raining like it has been last week!

Yay! It's Thursday which means reasons to be cheerful time! I really love this linky, hehe.
Here are my reasons to be cheerful this week.

1) It's Halloween and the kids are so excited! We're going to do some more Halloween baking later, make some Halloween Jellies and go trick or treating for a little while this evening. Oh, not forgetting the Halloween family movies we're going to watch, such good fun, hehe.

2) The weather yesterday was beautiful, it was sunny, blue skies and mild. The kids still had there birthday money to spend, which they had been saving up and wanting to spend this half term. So we ventured into town and they spent there money. We got some chips which we ate in the gardens along the sea front. It was a lovely day! I love those kids of days - they don't happen often enough!



3) I am cheerful that it is half term. I love spending extra time with my littles. They go back to school next week so we are gonna make the most of it :) It is rather nice not having school runs, lunches, uniforms etc to do for a week! :)

This weeks theme is thru the eyes of my phone. (Love this theme). 
We went to the pier the other day, just on the 2p machine's and the kids went on one of those little 50p rides each, all the big rides were closed. Any way, I charged my camera up ready... got to the pier and I'd forgot to put my memory card in. Typical. So my phone came in handy, lol. I love the convenience of the camera on my phone.
