The red arrows were epic!
14:59Last week, actually, bank holiday weekend we went to an air show! It was an hour away on the bus.
We missed the start of the red arrows airshow because the bus was stuck in traffic, luckily we did see some while waiting in the traffic!
We eventually got to the seafront and watched the rest of the red arrows display and it was AMAZING! There were so many people there and i was very loud but we really enjoyed watching the red arrows.
After we watched the red arrow display, we went and got some lunch. Sausage and chips from teh fish & chip shop. It was busy, I think next year, we'll take a picnic, hehe. We sat down in the one of the parks by the seafront and ate our lunch, while watching more of the airshow! It was great fun.
We took a long walk along the seafront and had a look around some of the stalls and what not! The kids got so many freebies, pens, paper, balloons etc. We also walked along the pier and had a god on the 2p machines! Ellie and the boys all won £5 each which is rare, because usually we don't win a thing, haha. Ellie and Charlie also had a go on the little car rides and Harry had a go at penalty kick, he won a multi coloured football! He was pleased with that.
On the way back to the bus stop the kids stopped off and spent some of there money that they had won on the 2p machines, bless 'em.
We were all exhausted by the time we got home. It was a fab day!

I so love seeing the Red Arrows, sadly every time they have apparently flown over my area, I have missed them!!! Looks like you had a great day! #PointShoot
ReplyDeleteI love 2p machines! Our 3 year old has just started to understand them (he calls them the 'Tipping Point' machines after the TV programme - we spent so much on them when we went to Centre Parcs recently! It looks like you had an amazing day weather wise - some great shots! I love the first one which looks like a heart with an arrow (not red!) about to go through it :) #twinklytuesday
ReplyDeleteIt is on my buckets list to see an air show. Looks awesome. #whatevertheweather
ReplyDeleteI love watching the red arrows and other air display teams, they are amazing to watch! The last one we saw was last year when they had a military show up here, I was amazed at how far away they had to fly to turn around and come back into the showground airspace! Looks like you had a fun time and excellent weather too, great photos and lot sof fab memories being made!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up to #Whatevertheweather x
Sounds like a wonderful day at the seaside. The red arrows must have been amazing to watch and the 2p machines are always fun. #Whatevertheweather
ReplyDeleteThey really are amazing aren't they. When I was little we lived in Scotland and they used to fly over our farm, so close we could see the pilot's face x
ReplyDeleteIn Portugal they do an air show every year but I've never been to one! That looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteI can see you guys had an amazing time! :D

Look like you had a great day out and that's great you managed to watch some of them on your way there. I always remember watching a red arrow display when we stayed at my grandparents in Norwich when we were kids x
ReplyDeleteIn nearly 30 years I've never seen a display like this. But I've heard of so many that's taken place this summer. I must go watch one next summer. Sounds like you guys had a blast Sarah. Thanks for sharing
