The last couple of weeks, I've found (what I think are) some awesome bargains! Mostly Christmas bargains and I thought I would share them here on my blog. I really go love a good bargain! Especially festive ones ;)



First of all, I spotted these little Christmas tree ornaments in 'The Range'. I just love them. The Christmas trees are very silver and sparkly. I think they were around 99p each. And the robins were 89p each. I will have mostly baubles on my tree, I thought the would break it up a little and give it a little bit of character.



I also got these lovely baubles from next priced at £6 for twenty! There's black glittery baubles, silver, a dark copper/ mattgold colour (hard to explain but it's very pretty!), some textured copper baubles and some matt gold baubles. I love them a lot.



A few little stocking fillers - board games from B&M, I know they're the cheaper alternative to the expensive ones, but honestly, they're just as fun. These were £2.99 each. I did get more but I wrapped them before I remembered to take photos. Duh.



Also got these biscuits to put away for Christmas £1.54 a box in Tesco! I bought two boxes and then next time I was in there bought another two. Because you know. BISCUITS!

All these products were bought with my own money, none of the companies mentioned have asked me to write this post nor add links.

I'm such a bargain hunter, seriously! And If I can get something for 50p less elsewhere, I will. I try to budget as much as I possibly can because every 50p and every £1 really do add up! My change jar proved that. I also like having a look in the bargain and pound shops as I have picked up some really good bargains in those places. In one of my local towns, which is a bus ride away is a pound shop, it's not pound land or any named shop, it's just a local pound store and there are always lots of bargains to be had! It can be a bit of a hit and miss, sometimes I go in there and there's nothing much really that catches my eye, yet another time I can go in and find quite a few bargains!

Here are a couple of Christmas bits I picked up this week.

First of all the window stickers. They were 3 for £1. These will look lovely on either the back door, or the front door. The kids always enjoy putting these up.


Next I picked up a couple of books. The first being 'Anna's Book Of Secrets' This cost £1 and RRP price is £5.99 (so it says on the back of the book!) I'd say this was a pretty good bargain.


It has the story inside of Frozen and in the back of the book are pages to write down secrets and birthdays, memories and stick in photos and stickers.Along with some other activities. It's a beautiful little book which my daughter will love finding in her stocking!


Next up is the joke book I also got for  £1. On the back of the book it says £5.99. Now my son will LOVE this. He loves telling jokes and this book will give him no end of laughs and everyone else, too!


I also picked up these Christmas cards which were 3 for £1. I got six. Six lovely Christmas cards for £2. Can not grumble at that!


I hope this has inspired you to check out your local bargain stores! As I said above they can be a bit of a hit and miss and sometimes I find that it might "only" be £1 but I can get two for that price elsewhere! At this time of year though, there are always lots of bargains to be had.

I'm using up bits that are left in the freezer and cupboard. I still have tins/jars left from Christmas!!!
I also have tinned fruit left from Christmas that I want to use up so I have space in my cupboard for other things that we actually do need. Am I the only person who still has food left from Christmas? I need to use it all up so that I can budget better.

Monday - Battered sausage and chips with mushy peas. (Mushy peas left from xmas!)

Tuesday - Tuna and pasta bake with salad. (Tuna left from xmas!)

Wednesday - Home made meat balls with long spaghetti and french stick bread.

Thursday -  Haddock fillets with new potatoes and peas.

Friday - Hot dogs in rolls with fries (Hot dogs left in cupboard form xmas!!)

Saturday - BBQ chicken salad.

Sunday - Toad in the hole with carrots, peas, mash potato and gravy.

Cloud freebies is a website with a whole a roundup of all things available for free.From money off coupons to free samples of products (creams, perfumes etc) and competitions! The website is very well organised and looks lovely, too. You can sign up to cloud freebies via email on this page and there is a really good section about 'Freebies In The Cloud Today' which gives you an idea of the freebies available that day. There's also a section showing a list of popular freebies and newest freebies to the right of the page.



The website itself is very east to navigate. There is a menu along the top of the page:

*Home* - This is the home page. Every time you click on the 'Home' button it will take you back to the homepage. 
*Freebies*  - On this page there is a list of the latest freebies that are available. This page is updated regularly with new freebies. With each freebies avaliable, there is a 'Get freebie' button that you click on to take you to more information about that specific freebie. Really easy to use! There is also a list of 'Popular freebies' on the freebie page. 
 *Competitions* - When you click on the competitions link, it will take you to the competition page, with a list of the latest competitions. Again, it's very easy to navigate. 
*Money off vouchers* - This page is full of money off coupons. There are some great saving and discounts on this page and again, is easy to navigate and understand. 
*Blog* -  you can read all about cloud freebies on there blog! You can also find out about when companies and stores are giving away freebies! A really handy blog to read if you ask me :-) 

Personally I love this website & I use it regularly.

So I briefly wrote about how I have recently re vamped my front room, but like I said it was very brief so I thought I would write a proper post about how I did all of this on a budget. 

Right, I NEED to get back into meal planning. Tomorrow is grocery shopping day and meal planning helps me budget a lot better. I'll know exactly what I need & won't overspend (hopefully).

This weeks menu:

Monday - Chicken pasta salad - sweet corn, cucumber, tomato, grated carrot, cress chicken and pasta with lettuce and french stick.

Tuesday - Pork chops with new potatos and salad (or beans for the kids if they prefer)
I still have pork chops left over from last week! They were on offer in the supermarket.

Wednesday - Pizza and fries

Thursday - Chicken Korma, rice with naan bread (or fresh french stick)

Friday - Fish fingers, mash and peas.

Saturday - Ellie picks (the boys are at there dads!)

Sunday - Turkey, roast potatoes, mash potato, Yorkshire pudding, peas, brocoli, parsnip with gravy.
