I haven't posted a 'What's In My Letterbox' for a little while, mainly because I haven't received much/ However, this week and last week, Ive received a few things for Birthdays and Christmas.

First of all I ordered two of these lovely plush' toys for Christmas presents! They're currently buy one get one for £1 (BARGAIN!) on the disney store website and I couldn't let that deal pass me by. (Thank you Laura for letting me know about it)

Next I received a FREE bag for life from dotcomgiftshop. Which is awesome because now we have to pay for plastic shopping bags! I now have one I can use over and over again! I didn't have to make an order or pay anything for this bag! Lovely useful little freebie.
Fifa 16 also arrived last week, thankfully in time for Harry's Birthday which is next week (Can't believe he'll be twelve! CRAZY!)

And my phone case came. It's not very attractive because it's a bumper case. But, I'd rather have a not very attractive phone case than a cracked and broken screen again! I've learned my lesson! I do put my cute cases on when I'm at home and my phone won't get damaged.

I've also received my new boots card! Hoorah! That'll be handy collecting points at this time of year, what with Christmas and everything. The points will soon build up, hehe. And of course the usual household bills blah blah.

I was sent the Ozeri Pro II DIgital Kitchen Scale to review. With it being Autumn and with winter coming up, I do a lot of baking so having a good, reliable set of kitchen scales is a must!


In the box is the scale, the glass platform, 2 AAA batteries, instruction book and also a calorie guide. The Ozeri pro II scales have a removable glass platform, a timer with an alarm, which beeps and has a blinking LED light. The timer is a really cool feature.
The scale converts between ounces, grams and pounds, too!


It also has a tare feature, which means the scale subtracts the weight of the container.  The tare button allowed me to reset the weight back to 0 after putting the bowl onto the glass platform. I weighed the sugar, hit the tare button (reset), add the flour, hit the tare button and reset back to 0 and so on! It's ever so simple and a quicker way of weighing things!


 The scale seems very accurate, I've tried it in grams and ounces as well as pounds. The scale allows you to weigh as little as 1g. It's very simple to use. I just turned it on, pressed the 'UNIT' button and set the scale to the measurement I needed to use. I tried the (very handy) timer out which is perfectly accurate! It's perfect for timing how long the cakes I made needed to be in the oven, no food ever needs to be over or under cooked again! 

The scales also have large buttons, making it easier to read and see clearly which each button is for!
The scale itself is rather light, small and compact and very easy to store. The glass platform just screws off and on.

I really like the fact that the scale has a timer, is simple to use, I can weigh more than one thing at a time because it's easy to reset back to 0 and I really, really like that the batteries are included with the scale! Adding in the calorie counting guide is a lovely bonus, too!


These scales come in silver and black.

Overall this is the perfect set of scales in my opinion! At the time of writing this review the scales are priced at £24.99 and I would say they are well worth the money!

I was suppose to post 'This weeks goals' on Monday but thanks to the awful headache I've had for like a week or more, I haven't really been blogging or anything much at all really. I didn't achieve a lot off last weeks list because I just felt so blah!! Better late than never though! Hopefully the headache subsides (it's not as bad as it was) so I can get things done.
I'm really going to try and be productive and stay as active as I can while the headache isn't as bad. 

So here's my list of things to achieve this week - It's a bit random.

1) Blitz my bedroom as I didn't do it last week due to the headache.
2) Sort the cupboard out under the stairs (again, I didn't get around to finishing it last week)
3) Get thru my list of phone calls I need to make.
4) Organise the boys closest and clothes.
5) Take the shower head off and clean it.
6) Sort the cupboard out in the hall.
7) Put the 'junk' in the attic. (It's not junk, it's mainly books!)
8) Re arrange the kitchen cupboards (I need to start stocking up for Xmas but have no space)
9) Catch up on blogging!
10) Relax & have lots of family time this weekend. I'm thinking arts and crafts & board games.

If the weather holds off, maybe we can go for a nice Autumnal walk again! We enjoyed that last week, it's such a beautiful time of year. Especially with living in the countryside. I love it!!

What's on your To Do list this week?

Last week, Charlie was invited to look around our local high school in the evening. His big brother already goes there, Harry started in September this year. You can imagine how excited Charlie was to go and have a look around the 'big school' to see exactly what it's like. He actually couldn't wait!

We got there and were given a prospectus, there were teachers and other students leading the way around the school but we decided to go and have a look around the school ourselves with Harry being our tour guide because, well, he already knows his way around the school!

There were all activities and events set up around teh school. In the science labs there were bunsen burners and test tubes set up, along with steady hand games and other activities. Charlie headed straight for the test tubes and distilled water to do the experiment that was set up! I was really impressed with how he read the instructions, wore hiss goggles and got on with doing the experiment. He won a prize for completing them all. He enjoyed the lava lamp one, watching the lava turn different colours, it was rather fascinating!


He told me how he couldn't wait to start high school and we talked about how big the school is and how different it is from primary school, while we made our way to the English and Maths block. Charlie joined in with some more activities and I met a few of Harry's teachers a long the way! Charlie also got a lot of "Ohhh a mini Harry" from a couple of the teachers. Haha.

Charlie was fascinated with how big the classrooms were! I think his favourite was probably taste testing the food and school dinners! He enjoyed the pizza and chocolate cake, haha. I may or may not have had a sneaky nibble. Delicious by the way. School dinners have changed a lot since I was at school!!

Charlie also enjoyed the gym and all the activities they had going on in there. He loved the golf game (And won another prize! A rugby wrist band thingy and some sweets!)

He is SO excited about starting high school next year! Charlie said "I'll be with Harry again". Ever since Charlie has started school, he has always had Harry by his side. Until now. Harry started high school in September and Charlie is in his last year of primary school, he really misses Harry. So it'll be lovely for them to be back in the same school.

I am so proud of them all! Especially proud of how confident Charlie is about starting high school next year. I'm also really pleased that Harry has settled in well and he knows where everything is, where all his classes are and what not. I know he was a bit worried about finding his way around the school. He was really proud showing us around!

I can't believe my little 5lb baby starts high school next year *sigh* They grow up so fast, don't they?!
