Leaf stained glass effect decoration.
00:00Yellowmoon sent us a leaf stained glass effect decoration kit to review. Ellie couldn't wait to get stuck into these. We really love arts and crafts a lot. Especially Autumnal arts and crafts because it's our favourite time of year.
First of all we took everything out of the packet to see what the kit contained. It contained cardboard shaped leaves, in three assorted designs, some ribbons, some sheets of coloured cellophane.
We pushed out the patterns in the leaf, ready to stick our coloured cellophane on. We used PVA glue to stick the cellophane paper onto the cardboard leaf.
"There's so many Autumn colours" Ellie told me! She was excited to use purple, purple is her favourite colour!
Ellie took her time making her leaf and creating a pretty effect. She really enjoyed making stained glass leafs.
Priced at just £3.99 for a pack of 6, they are well worth the money. They kept Ellie entertained for quite some time and are perfect for a rainy day activity! I also feel these would make a lovely gift for any child who loves arts & crafts.
They look so pretty hanging up on the kitchen window. Perfect for our favourite time of year and a lovely Autumn decoration.

These look really pretty, we've done stained glass pictures for Christmas but I've never thought of doing them for autumn :)

It looks great, hope there's lots of sunlight to come to shine through the cellophane. I'm sure we used to do something similar when we were kids but we used the sweet wrappers from quality street etc! Always frugal and you got to eat the chocolates too, but we probably only ever did this in January !!
ReplyDeleteWith half term coming up and me not being very crafty at all, my daughter loves arts and craft and this is something she would love to do over the holidays :-) x

These look really simple craft-wise, so much so I think they may even be me-proof! At 3.99 they're quite good value too. I've only ever done stained glass stuff before for Christmas but the leaf is gorgeous! Really nice decor (and a good rainy day activity to boot!).
