An October Evening.
10:11ON Sunday evening, after we had our roast dinner, we decided to go for a little walk! The weather was beautiful, it wasn't cold and the sky was ever so pretty. With it being October, these beautiful days are going to be few and far between. So we thought we would make the most of it!
Harry received an early Birthday present from my mums, A remote control helicopter and Charlie wanted to take his remote control car (which he got for his Birthday back in July) and Sunday afternoon was the perfect opportunity! Ellie didn't want to take anything with her because "I like chasing Harry's helicopter". So that's what she did!
We headed towards the park and woodland which isn't too far from where we live and off we went!
We couldn't believe how high helicopter flew! "This is EPIC" Harry yelled in delight! And it really is epic, for such a small toy, it goes quite fast and very, very high!
Harry let everyone have a little go with his new toy! Which is very sweet of him. Sharing is caring after all. Ellie loved flying it and now she wants one, haha.
Charlie enjoyed playing with his remote control car on the skating ramp as there was no one else on the ramp. It's really nice to see the kids actually playing with there toys. It's quite challenging to get a photo of Charlie because seriously, he does not stay still for a second, haha. Typical boy. Full of energy :-)
We also took a stroll through the woods and pointed out all things Autumnal. We weren't in the woods very long as it was getting dark! I didn't quite realise just how fast it DOES get dark now!
Charlie also tested out his remote control car in the woods because the lights are quite bright on it! "Wow this is great" Charlie told us.
We had a really fun evening! Hopefully we'll have a few more nice evenings before the winter kicks in.
How have you been enjoying Autumn so far?
Sarah xXx

What a great present! It looks like they all had lots of fun using it. We did a park run at the weekend - and were rather relieved that the weather was so good! x
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun! I love the 6th picture down; did we have a little crash? Haha. I really love those remote control helicopters, even at my age and what a lovely evening you had for it!
ReplyDeleteLovely way to spend your day! I'm a big promoter of spending time outdoors. It's just important to remember to wrap up in this weather too x
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely afternoon. This is a nice time of year as we're still getting a bit of sunshine, but you're right, it does get dark a lot quicker now! Sabrina xx
ReplyDeleteMy boys would love that helicopter too! #magicmoments
ReplyDeleteJust love spending time outdoors and the weather looked perfect. Love the look on his face in the first pic of him with the helicopter. Hours of fun! x

ReplyDeleteThe helicopter looks great my son loves all transport. I can't believe it is October and Autumn we had a BBQ at the weekend as it was so nice.
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun present! That first photo is so pretty! Also I totally agree, how is it getting so dark so early now!? I feel like the past couple of weeks it's suddenly felt very autumnal and wintery!

What a fun way to spend the evening. My son bought one of those helicopters when we were at the beach and I was amazed how high they fly. I was also amazed at how terrible I was at flying them. It's not as easy as it looks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great present and so kind of your mum. He looks very pleased with it. Matthew loves his remote control car at the moment. Previously he was afraid of the noise.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite season. Great idea to go for a walk after dinner and seize the Autumness! Helicopter a bonus!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun time was had by all. How cool is that helicopter, I can totally see why Ellie now wants one too. Xx
ReplyDeleteAn impromptu walk can often lead to all sorts of adventures, can't it?! I quite agree we should be enjoying these afternoons before the clocks rock forward and the evenings draw in earlier.

Autumn in the forest is just perfect! Beautiful shots of your kids, I love seeing my boys being active too and you're so right we need to make the most of it while the weather allows! #twinklytuesday
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of fun was to be had :) Great photos! We haven't been out any evening if I am honest but I regret it now because the weather is so bad now! xx

ReplyDeleteA lovely way to spend an autumn evening! It looks like you all had a lot of fun, but completely agree with how quickly it gets dark now! That helicopter looks fab! I think I want one too, hopefully not as easy to crash as remote control cars? Love the idea of using the skate board ramp for the remote control car too, I need to remember that for O.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for linking up to #Whatevertheweather :) x

That remote control helicopter is fab, my boys would love one of those to have a go on, no doubt it'd end up in a hedge though. It's lovely to see the three of them playing so well together, it's great that Harry had a fab time with his early birthday present and really likes it. The days really are drawing in, I hope you can make the most of the evenings before it becomes too dark. Thanks for linking up with me on Country Kids.
ReplyDeleteAnything remote - car, helicopter, boat - and my kids just don't want to stop. Very impressed how Harry was sweet about sharing his!
ReplyDeleteI bought my nephew a remote control helicopter last year - it is so cool! Looks like you had a lovely evening. Autumn is lovely except for it's already getting dark when I'm leaving work so we don't get many fun impromptu walks! Thanks for linking up with #TwinklyTuesday
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing presents!!!! My other half can't wait to buy our daughter remote control cars and helipcopters, mostly so he has an excuse to play himself haha. It is amazing how quickly it gets dark at the moment. I swear the light goes so quickly, yet the build up to summer and the long days seems to take so long. I love random walks like this in the evening. I love the cool air in the evening in Autumn. It's so lovely just to get outside and really puts you in the best mood. It sounds like you all had a really fun evening. And that helicopter really does look epic! Thank you so much for sharing this on #whatevertheweather x
