Watching my little ones grown up, is bittersweet. They're really not so little any more.



My eldest son started high school a few days ago, honestly, I do not know where the time has gone. It's pretty mad when I think about it. It feels like just yesterday that he started pre school and now he attends high school. How did that happen? He's settled in really well.

Then there's my middle son, Charlie. He is now in year six. The last year of primary school. To think that he has his SATS coming up in a few months, residential school trips and so on, is just crazy! Why does time have go so fast? Can't we slow it down?

Then we have my youngest. My daughter. She'll be EIGHT years old next week!! EIGHT! She has become so independent the last few months, it doesn't seem real. She has also settled into year three really well. She is seriously growing up so, so, fast. They all are but when you realise your youngest, the baby of the bunch is turning eight years old in a few short days, it really hits home at just how fast time is going and just how quickly they're all growing up. They'll be leaving hom before I know it *sobs dramatically*

It's bittersweet watching them grow up.

And it's as if it all happened in the blink of an eye.

I'm going to create and make as many memories as I can, take more photos, play more games, read more books and keep calling my children "My little's" because one day they really won't be little, they'll be adults. This is such a precious time and I only get one shot at making the most of them while they're young. I'm going to milk them being little and children for all it's worth, for as a long as I can.

It is SO hard to believe that my children are growing SO fast. Especially my eldest Harry. He's going to be turning twelve years old this year. 12!!! Which means, this coming September, he;s going to be starting high school. That is just crazy! How has time gone so quick? How has he learned so much, so fast? How has it been twelve years since he was born? Wow. Charlie will be in year 6 come September, which is also rather hard to believe, my little 5lb 3oz baby... in year SIX?! WHAT?! And Ellie will be in year three. It feels like she JUST started school! It really does go so, so fast!

Part of me really doesn't like the fact they are becoming so independent and growing up so fast, but the other part of me enjoys watching them grow and learn new things. I am nervous and excited at the same time, haha. Bittersweet comes to mind, ha. I am so proud of them all, I really can not tell you how proud of them I am.

I'm a little bit late posting this post but it's better late than never!

On Sunday, my eldest turned ten. I can't believe that Harry is already ten years old! He had a fab birthday. He spent Saturday and Sunday morning with his dad and got to open all of his pressies from his dads sde of the family.

In the afternoon he came home and opened all of his presents from us and my grandparents! He was so pleased with his football boots which I was relieved about because I wasn't 100% certain they were the ones he wanted lol. He also got matching goaly gloves (which are apparently "sick" - it means cool!)  He had also asked for lots of stationary for school. I love stationary shopping, lol! He was made up with all his presents, totally spoiled but hey, ya only turn ten once ;)
We also had a special tea and birthday cake. We're going to celebrate properly in the half term (maybe a trip to the cinema?).

Can you believe we're already in week 20? Oh my goodness, time is going to fast, lol. Anyway, here are my reasons to be happy this week: 

1) My kids! My kids ALWAYS make me smile. They are truly amazing. They're all doing fab at school. I am so, so proud of them. They're all so smart, funny and have amazing personalities. I love watching them grow. Sometimes though it's bittersweet. Time goes toooooo fast. Don't you think?

2) I'm feeling slightly better. Only slightly but anything is an improvement on how I have been feeling this week. Honestly this flu/cold has knocked me right out. I am just glad I am finally getting better! I really hope the kids don't catch it...

3) Last week my washing machine door broke. The machine itself was quite old and wasn't that great. I was telling my best friend about it and she told me that her brother was selling a washing machine cheap (£70! And he said I can pay in installments if I can't pay £70 outright. That's really nice of him and his girlfriend) The machine is like BRAND NEW. It's only been used a couple of time. It's all plumbed in now and so much better than the old machine I had. I really love it (even though I've already dyed one load of washing pink. Harrys white England kit.. uh-oh. There was a red sock in the white wash, eek! Never mind though, ya live and learn, lol!) So yay! New washing machine!!

My eldest son will be NINE tomorrow. Nine years old already. I can not believe it, seriously time goes too fast and babies grow up too fast. He is my first born and we share a special bond (like I do with my other two children). He has taught me a lot, he taught me to grow up.
He's nine going on nineteen and I am not joking, his attitude, his personality, he is SO smart for his age and his fashion, well he certainly knows what he wants. Brand names and hair gel already! Justin bieber is his idle (ugh) and he loves RnB music, Xfactor and really wants a iPod. (See what he gets for xmas ;)) He couldn't live without his XBOX and he loves football SO much.   His football idle is MESSI (whoever that is lol)
He is growing up so, so fast and I bless every single moment. I love helping him learn and watching him grow up but at the same time I miss when he was a baby and a toddler, it is truly bittersweet. I am SO proud of him, I truly am.

Phew. Just this second sat down. Wonder if I can get in a quick post without being interrupted, seriouly my house is chaotic, if it's not the kids it's  the kitten lol, if it's not the kitten it's the phone or there's somebody at the door or I just end up cleaning or something, lol. The joys eh?! But I wouldn't have it any other way :)
My title - Charlie has been singing "Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it's off to school we go" Then whistles (he just learned to whistle!) So cute.

The kids all went back to school yesterday. It was Els first day at primary school, Charlies first day at Junior school (year 3) and Harry's first day in year 4!! Gosh they grow up so fast. Anyhoo.. Ellie LOVES school (I knew she would) lots of her pre school friends are in her clas which is really nice, they were all so pleased to see her, bless. She's also loving school dinners. Charlie really enjoys being at junior school... he it's a lot harder but he has an extra five mins at playtime than he did at the infant school lol, so that's a plus for him, hehe.
Harry, eh, he doesn't really have much to say about school, he has lots of friends and he seems to enjoy it.. he's just a kid with fewer words to say, lol. The boys both really want to do football club but am not sure about them doing footy for an hour after school in the WINTER - OUTSIDE! Charlie's got asthma as it is! Idk, I might leave that for the spring term, perhaps they could do an indoor after school club instead? I'll be looking into it =)


Me.. well, I am all good. Glad the kids are back at school but my goodness, I REALLY miss them, especially Ellie. For the last 8 years I have always had at least one child with me 24/7.. but not any more.. It's so strange. I'm not sure I like it tbh. I thought I would enjoy the free time, but today... this morning... it hit me. I was like "What am I suppose to do now?" (I can't work due to health issues/brain disorder - IIH you can click *here* to read about it, which is why I haven't updated so much also.. that and being busy) Honestly, it sucks.

Oh! Els is going to be FIVE years old in a week and a half. OHMYGOODNESS! Can't believe it! We're doing her a little tea party (I was going to do a BBQ but there is no telling if this lovely weather will stick around that long or not. It has been beautiful weather the last few days!) and I've brought all her birthday presents! She is Moshi Monster crazy! Seriously, she can not get enough of Moshi Monsters, lol.
(Also I am aware that my son needs a hair cut but he insists on growing it to be like MattyB and Justin Bieber. Ugh. He is so having a hair cut this weekend, lol.)

Right, am gonna go feed the kitten, have a nice relaxing bath and then have a nice early night *yawns*

Gosh. It's all been happening here in North Essex.
For those of you who watch the news would've heard about the double shooting that happened yesterday. A man shot an off duty police officer and another man (with leg injuries). I don't know all the details but the police helicopters were out for HOURS yesterday and police were urging everyone to stay inside as the gunman was on the lose. This happened about 10-15 from where I live so it was very scary!

The gunman apparently killed himself (The above link goes into more detail). My heart, thoughts and love goes out to the police officers (and those involved) loved ones. I can't even imagine.

Charlies BBQ on Saturday went really well! He had an amazing birthday, received some really lovely gifts and some birthday money which he can spend in the summer holls & put some into his savings account :) He enjoyed the bouncy castle, as did the other kids. Also enjoyed pass the parcel and seeing all the family! I still can not believe he is seven years old *sigh* time flies & kids grow waaaaayyy to fast. I love watching him grow and learn new things though. It truly is bitter sweet.

I shall post some pics and do more of an update soon... maybe at the weekend when things here are a little calmer, we have so much going on at the moment - there aren't enough hours in the day!
