Weaving hearts. {Review}
10:09Baker Ross sent us these lovely weaving heart blanks set to try. We couldn't wait to get stuck into these and with it being almost Valentines day, these were the perfect creative activity for Ellie and I to do together.
Each pack contains 10 cardboard heart shapes, they have holes punched into them making it easy to weave the string or wool through. We decorated ours first using markers. Ellie decided on which patterns she was going to decorate her hearts in and away she went!
The middle part of the heart pops out, so Ellie just decorated around the edges. I did help her colour in as Ellie asked me to help. We enjoy doing arts & crafts together. Once we'd coloured in and desgined our patterns we started weaving through. I had some old wool that needed using up and this was the perfect oppurtunity. You can use string or twine, too. I had to help Ellie with this to start her off but once she got the hang of it, away she went!
"This is such good fun, we can hang it near the window or on my bedroom door handle." she told me. I really think these weaving hearts have helped her learn to weave!
We throughly enjoyed making these lovely hearts. These were perfect for Ellie's age (8) as she could do most of it herself! She enjoyed weaving the woold through each hole and making different patterns with the wool! We also enjoyed decorating the hearts. Priced at just £2.50 for a pack of 10 hearts, I'd say that's reasonably priced and they are so worth the money. We used our own wool/string to weave with. Baker Ross do sell string separately.
Have you or your little ones been creative lately? What have you created or decorated? Let me know in the comments. :)
