Home made Easter baskets & an Easter Egg hunt!!!

17:50

Today we did an EAster egg hunt. I know it's only good Friday and therefore a little early, but you see, the boys are going to there dads this Easter (From tomorrow until Easter Monday). I had them during Christmas AND New year so I can't really complain. So we had our Easter egg hunt early! And let me say, the weather was lovely! Sunny, not too chilly (didn't even need coats!!) and just perfect for the egg hunt! Luckily the grass hadn't been cut otherwise I'd have had nowhere to hide the eggs. Our garden is pretty basic, last summer was my first summer here and I wasn't able to really do that much with the garden. However, this year I am going to plant some flowers, a few shrubs and bushes... but that isn't what this post is about.. this post is about our Easter egg hunt *exciting*

First of all we made Easter our own Easter baskets. I couldn't find wicker baskets or Easter buckets anywhere so we made our own and it was A LOT of fun! The kids really enjoyed it!
Supplies:
Mini storage containers/plastic baskets (3 for £1 - The range)
Large fluffy pipe cleaners (6 for £1.99 - The range)
Stickers
Sticky Gems (£1 - The range)
Foam shapes (we used birds and flowers) you can these cheap from any arts/crafts shop, even tescos, The range, pound shop sell them.

We decorated the storage containers and hooked on the fluffy pipe cleaners for a handle! Worked perfectly!!

The kids loved finding the mini chocolate eggs and Haribo sweets.
They even got a medal for there findings!
First prize (Harry) won a large dairy milk
and the two little ones (the runners up!) won a normal dairy milk bar.

They had great fun!

Are you hosting an Easter egg hunt?
Or perhaps going to someone else's?
I'd love to hear all about it! :)
