An Autumn Walk. {Bucket List}
09:39Guys, I know I say this ALL the time but I seriously love this time of year. Everything looks so pretty and Autumnal. It's lovely.
Ellie and I decided to go for a lovely Autumn walk Sunday afternoon, while the weather was nice and the boys were spending some time with there dad. I love mummy and daughter days. It was ever so sunny and not too cold! Just cold enough for a hoody.
We spotted some really, really mini apples on the ground, under an apple tree. These look very Autumnal indeed! Ellie was all "Wow, they are SO tiny, I think they're special apples for mice" Aww, bless her.
Ellie and I talked about the colours of Autumn and how the leaves change colour! She was quite facinated by the fact that leaves change colour! She really understands now that she is seven years old. We talked about seasons and the change in weather.
Some of the trees still look quite green but over the next few weeks, the leaves will change colour to reds, browns, yellows and shades of orange! It's going to look beautiful! It certainly still looks beautiful green but I can't wait until all these trees are stunning Autumn colours.
We spotted lots of birds on our walk! They were chomping away on some kind of red berries. The berries look so, so pretty! Although, they remind me of winter and Christmas - Certainly a sign that Christmas isn't too far away! The birds seemed to enjoy them though, hehe. The click on my camera scared the birds away, perhaps I can get a picture of them eating the berries next time?
We were looking for some blackberries but had no luck finding any, either we're too late or everyone else has picked them! We have a couple of other places to look though, so we might do that throughout the week!
Ellie did however, spot a very hairy caterpillar crawling along the pathway! "He's so fury and fast" Ellie declared.
We also spotted some squirrels. It was really quite difficult go get a clear picture - they're fast little movers aren't they?! Squirrels are one of my favourite animals, in fact, I love all animals but especially woodland animals and Ellie does too.
After that long walk, Ellie and I had a little rest and drink on the bench!
We had such a fun walk! It was truly lovely. We're going to go and look for blackberries durring the week, one day after school with Harry and Charlie, too!
How have you been enjoying Autumn recently? And what's your favourite thing about Autumn? Let me know in the comments :)

ReplyDeleteI love what she said on the tiny apples! haha! Kids really are fascinating whenever they say cute things which are also intelligent if you think of it.
