I CAN do this!!
09:48As some of my regular readers will know, back in November, I started Jillian Michaels 30 day shred daily workout. Basically there are three levels to this workout over thirty days. It's a half hour workout daily. Me and an online friend did it together and supported and encouraged each other, it was great! I also ate healthy, allowing myself one treat day a week. I lost 6lbs in 30 days, which in my opinion isn't too shabby at all.
Now, over the festive period, I really didn't do too well. I didn't have time to workout and I was just really stressed and had a lot going on in my personal life. However, I still did my usual walking (at least 2 miles a day) and stuck to eating healthy. Even over Christmas I didn't do too bad with my eating. I'm guessing I've gained a pound or maybe two back but that's ok because I will loose it again! Last night, I started the 30 day shred again. I really, really didn't want to do and thought to myself "Is my heart really in this?" For inspiration, I looked at some photos of me a couple of years ago and how slim I was! There was my inspiration. I got out my exercise mat and dumbbells, popped the workout DVD in and away I went! Half an hour soon flew by and I was quite surprised and how 'easy' it was. Well, easy compared to last time I started it that is. It's still hard but not as hard as I found it the first time around.
I'm also eating healthier again, lots of fresh fruit, veggies and no fatty or fried food! I got a smoothie maker for Christmas so I'll be putting that to good use, too!
I don't want to share how much I do weigh but I'm 5ft3 and a size 14 top and between a 12 and 14 waste. I know that's not huge but I would like to fit back into my size 10 jeans. I have some really, really lovely clothes size 10 and 12, it would be nice to fit into them comfortably. I don't care how long it takes, I AM going to do this and with it being the start of a new year, now is the perfect time.

I got a new Breville blender for Christmas and I am loving it for smoothie making. Good luck with your goals...I'm sure your wardrobe full of lovely size 10 clothes will be very motivating x
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with #BloggingToJogging I'm starting the 30 day shred too, I started it back in September but my baby boy was so poorly I couldn't even have half an hour a day to exercise so it went out the window! Best of luck and I look forward to seeing your updates xx

You can do it. We all fall off during Christmas don't let that discourage you. I always gain 10 pounds (no joke) every Christmas. but I also jump back into a good healthy routine back in January and make up for a well spent xmas. You can too! You have done so well. Happy New Year! Thank you so much for linking up to Share With Me. #sharewithme
