Making finger print animals. {Review}

I was browsing pinterest and came across animal finger painting so Ellie and I thought we'd give it a try! And as Baker Ross sent us a four part paint pad to review this was the perfect project to test the print pad out! Of course, Ellie couldn't wait to get her hands on it! Quite literally, hehe.
The paint pad includes four colours - red, yellow, green and blue. Each paint section is approx 7.5cm x 7.5cm which is perfect for little hands and fingers. This is ideal for finger painting or even using with stampers! I am also pleased to say the paint is washable. I know this because Ellie decided to wipe her hands all down her jeans. Yes, it did indeed come out in the wash! Hoorah! The four part paint pad is aimed at 3 years +
Anyway, Ellie soon got stuck into this. Her first thoughts were "It's very bright and colourful" Once I'd opened it up she of course had to feel it "It feels so spongy and squidgy" she giggled.
Ellie chose some coloured card to print her animals on.
We used markers to draw on the animals features.. like Whiskers and tales, eyes and ears. Ellie was all "This is such good fun! The paint pad is so perfect for this". She spent ages and ages finger painting her animals.
She printed a bumble bee with her thumb and a turtle with her finger! "I like the spider best of all" she told me "Because he looks very happy and not scary like a real spider" Bless her. I honestly think Ellie could sit there all day printing animals, flowers and creating random art with the paint pad. She sat for a while re-doing her animals and making random patterns. It's such a good idea and so simple and easy to use.
I honestly recommend the four part paint pad. It's not at all messy (less messy than paints), no paint brush is needed and it is so worth £3.50. I also really like the fact that is really, truly is washable paint, too. We've kept the lid on ours so it doesn't dry out because I just know Ellie is going to get a lot of use out of this.
What's your favourite thing to paint? Or what's your little ones favourite arts & craft activity?

We were sent a sample of this product for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own, honest, personal opinion. I was not paid for this post. All photographs were taken by myself.

Awwh, so cute. Such an easy craft project to do too.
ReplyDeleteThis looks great - my son is just starting to really get into crafts but he's only 2 so everything is a bit big for him! I'm not sure how well he'll take to finger painting, as he hates mess, but this looks like a low-mess alternative to paper plates full of paint! #mmbc
ReplyDeleteThis is so clevet and creative!! I would never even think to make little animals or creatures with fingerprints (I'm not very arty or imaginative haha) but I'm thinking of little monsters to make now! Fab.
ReplyDeleteThis looks really good, my kids would have loved this when they were younger and I bet a lot less messy than ordinary paint. We used to do finger painting and feet painting x
