I took this pic a few weeks ago, after the little's had there opticians appointment. It's so hard to get a pic of all three of them together, looking at the camera at the same time and smiling! This is quite rare. I love this pic, it's so natural and sweet. They're my whole world ♥

The weather has been really crud this week. It's been rainy and chilly all week but we didn't let that stop us! We decided to go out any way.
We met up with some family in town and headed to the beach. We are quite lucky to live right near the beach.
The kids had great fun skimming stones across the sea and collecting shells.
We went to the fish and chip shop and got some sausage and chips for lunch - the kids favourite all time treat! We sat in a shelter a long the sea front and ate them. The birds also 'lunched' with us, lol. We fed them some of our chips. The kids love feeding the birds! "The seagulls are so noisy and greedy" said Ellie. And she's right they are noisy and greedy, but it's such great fun watching them.
We also went for a walk along the pier! The kids went on the car rides. Which they loved. Both Ellie and Charlie were like "Oh my goodness, look I can drive!!!!" Haha, so cute.
We decided to have a little look around the shops after we'd finished our walk along the pier and beach. I treated the kids to some sweets as they had been so good!
It was a lovely day, even if it was a bit miserable weather wise (although the rain held off!!) It was nice to catch up with my sisters, the kids enjoyed seeing them, too.
How have yo ubeen enjoying the half term this week?

My reasons to be cheerful and thankful this week...
1) It's half term. I'm glad it's half term, it's been nice not having any routine. Saying that though, It will be nice to get BACK into routine, lol. I've loved having the kids home and spending more time with them.
2) I'm thankful for family. Yesterday I met up with my two sisters, we met in town and had a little look around the shops. We got some chips for lunch and sat along the seafront and ate them. The kids had a great time. They skimmed some stones across the sea and looked for shells. We also had a walk along the pier, the kids had a go in the gokart car things, which they thought was great fun! Ellie was all "I never knew I could drive for real" Haha, bless her.
3) I am thankful for bargains! Especially shoes!! New shoes really cheer me up, especially when they're at a bargain price of £5.99 (suppose to be £19.99). Wedge heal sandals, I love 'em. Not very practical but still, I really like them!

Printrbook are an independent company who can print Instagram photos into a book. All photo's are printed on 150gsm matt paper and surround them with a 300gsm Trucard cover and the pages are bound together by glue.
All books have the same amount of pages. You can create either a 25 print photo printrbook or a 50 print photo printrbook. Books with 25 prints are printed on one side. Books with 50 prints are printed on both sides and all books have the same amount of pages. Printrbook also ships worldwide!
It's really quick and easy to create your book. I choose the 50 photo printrbook. The website is ever so easy to use. I signed in using my Instagram account. I chose my photos from Instagram and a cover, along with a title for my book. Printrbook then put together a preview of my book, so I could make sure it's exactly how I wanted it before purchasing it. It really is very simple and it only took me a few minutes to create my book.
The pages are quite thick and good quality! The photos are exactly how they are on my instagram, just in a book! Bringing my instagram photos life.
I really like my printrbook so much, it's a really handy size, full of our family memories. Printrbooks would also make lovely gifts and keepsakes for any occasion.
In my opinion, I think printrbooks are very reasonably priced at just £10 and are well worth the money.

I haven't really been feeling myself lately, I have a lot of things going on in my personal life right now. I don't feel that a public blog is the place to share those personal things and feelings. I am going to see if I can find reasons to be cheerful/thankful this week, I feel like I need to find the positives.
1) Blogging helps me a lot. I am SO grateful for blogging, it helps me take my mind off things. I love the blogging community too, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I'm not always around on social media but when I am you guys are awesome! It's nice to know there's always someone to chat to :)
2) I am actually quite cheerful about the rain, it kind of reflects on my mood lately. It's also helping to clear the air. It's been very humid and the air felt so close. I love listening to the rain tapping on the window when I'm all cosy inside - like right now, lol.
3) I am really glad the little's break up from school this week. For a whole week. The boys are spending some time with there dad. I plan on blitzing the whole house and having a de clutter mission, that always helps me feel better! It'll be nice to spend some time with the kids, too. Perhaps one day next week we can go out for a picnic or something, as long as the weather is nice. If not? We'll picnic inside with a movie or two.
There ARE always positives in amongst the negatives, I need to hold onto those positives.
Things could always be worse... right?!

This weeks #TheGallery theme is: One Word. I choose sky. I took this photo a few weeks ago, it really summed up the weather, we had showers, clouds and sunshine, I took this photo just after a shower.
So far this month I have only read two books. I don't know what has got into me but I have had not very much motivation to read. And I don't know what's going on with the goodreads counter widget but it doesn't seem to have registered the last two books that I have read. I've read seventeen books, not fifteen. Very odd. Anyway, here are my book review for this month (so far)
"He beat them, he abused them, and he tortured them. He broke their dreams. But they came back stronger.
‘Terrie and Paul are two of the bravest people I have ever met. I have only shared the briefest glimpse into the true horrors this brother and sister have endured, but I rarely come across cases this bad. After the unspeakable abuse and shocking betrayals, two incredible human beings came through – to inspire us all.’
Sara Payne OBE, co-founder of Phoenix Survivors
Terrie and Paul’s step-father had been living with them for six months when the abuse and grooming began. What started as innocent conversations and goodnight kisses quickly developed into something far darker and depraved.
Everyday Terrie was assaulted and abused; her rapes were photographed, filmed and shared. Paul was regularly taunted and mercilessly beaten. But despite the bruises and the scars, and the desperate pleas for help, no one saw their pain.
But through it all they stuck together, battling for their childhoods for over a decade and masterminding creative ways to outwit their stepfather and buy themselves fleeting moments of joy.
In March 2013, thirty years on, Terrie and Paul made the brave decision to give up their right to anonymity to tell of the years of abuse they endured at the hands of their recently convicted step-father and raise awareness for the ongoing battle for justice for victims of child abuse. A powerful testament of what can be achieved through courage and love, this is their inspiring story"
This is a true story of bravery. It's written very well. It is quite hard to read but only because it is so incredibly heartbreaking. Having said that though, I couldn't put this book down. This has to be one of the most heartbreaking, horrendous stories I have ever read. It's very, very sad and incredible what these two children endured, I can't even imagine. No child should EVER have to go through what these two siblings went through.
Five stars from me.
Mary had reservations about eight-year-old Hannah joining her class. The three emotionally disturbed boys she was currently looking after had been making steady progress, and Hannah, who had a reputation for being a withdrawn and incredibly troubled child, would only be a disruptive influence.
For the first fortnight Hannah retired to a cupboard and refused to come out. Howling almost non-stop she was displaying the worst symptoms that Mary had ever seen.
How could Mary help a child who had been shut up in closets and treated like an animal? What could she say to a child who had been locked out of her own home, and beaten by both her brother and her father? How could she reach this lost girl?
This is the remarkable story of Hannah and Mary’s journey together. Deep within Hannah, Mary recognises an amazing strength. And with love, skill and patience, she gradually starts to make a difference. It’s a long road to recovery, but Mary never gives up.
As this moving true story unfolds, we feel Mary’s joy, we share her hope and, in time, her faith that Hannah will be okay
Very easy book to read, I read it in just over a day.
This was a very moving story, true life and real. I loved this book! I felt so incredibly sorry for Hannah and her mother, it does have a happy ending though. Really glad I read this book.
4.5 stars from me.
Sixteen-year-old Zara "Zip" McKee lives for three things: basketball, books, and bailing out of tiny Titusville, Illinois, where the junior high and high school are in the same building and everyone's known everyone else since birth. But when Kieran Lanier moves to town and passes out on her desk on his first day at school, Zip's life gets complicated in a way she never dreamed.
Kieran has narcolepsy, and although he sometimes struggles to stay awake, he has no trouble capturing Zip's heart and trusting her with his most guarded secret--he sees bits and pieces of the future in his dreams.
But just when Zip thinks that maybe she can handle having a boyfriend who sees things before they happen, her budding relationship with Kieran gets a jolt when Kieran's parents reveal that his sleeping disorder is not what it seems and may be putting them in harm's way. And when Zip begins to have unsettling dreams, she must decide if she can live with knowing the future in advance when she's afraid of what might happen.

Despite the

This is the first John Green novel I have read, I wanted to read it to see what all the hype was about and wow, I am so glad I did! I couldn't put it down.
Like. WOW! I think this has to be one of the best books I have ever read, it's certainly in my top five! This book made me laugh and cry. Wow, did it make me cry! I fell in love with the characters. I love the way it's written.. I love everything about this book. It's easy to read and it's a book I could read over and over again! If you haven't read it... You should!

This is the first book in the 'In your dreams' series. I started reading this book back in February. I stopped reading it because I was finding it hard to get into. I picked it up again tonight and finished it! I like the way this book is written and I love the characters but it just took a good while to get into. It does have a good ending. I will probably read book #2 at some point but if I'm honest I'm not in any hurry. I feel this book is probably more for a mature teenager.

The little one's couldn't wait to get there teeth stuck into these, hehe.
Love hearts have always been on my favourite sweets. I remember when I was a child I would rush to the shop on a Friday and always pick love hearts. Love hearts are also one my kids favourite sweets, too.
The kids devoured them (as you can probably see in the pics). "They taste so sweet and delicious" Charlie said. Ellie loved the loved the love hearts because.. well, they're heart shaped! And that's a good enough reason in itself, bless her. Harry preferred the squashies "They taste amazing and I love that they're all squashy" he said.
The kids really enjoyed them, as did I!
Love heart squashies are currently £1 for a 145g bag. Which I think is very reasonable and make the perfect treat for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Love hearts pack of 4 are also priced at around £1 for a packet of four packs. Again, also very reasonable.
Did you know, 1.75 billion sweets are produced a year and there are over 150 different romantic messages on love hearts? Wow. Pretty impressive!!
This year love hearts are celebrating there 60th Birthday. And to celebrate they are running a competition. Love hearts are giving there fans a chance to design and create there very own love hearts message and win a VIP tour of the factory to see there very own love heart being made! The prize includes:

Yellow moon sent us these lovely Tropical Fish Sun catchers to review. These sun catchers come in a pack of 3 and includes three different tropical fish designs. The pack also contains silver cord to hang the sun catchers with. The sun catchers are around 10cm, which in my opinion is just the right size! The sun catchers themselves are made of hard plastic and are very easy to colour using the Gitto metalic decor pens.
The pens are suitable to use on almost any sufaces, including plastic, stone, wood and even glass! They are priced at £5.99 for a pack of five, which I think is very reasonable. These pens are suitable for aged 3+. They're easy and fun to use. We also used these pens to decorate our Easter sun catchers, earlier in the year.
Ellie and Charlie really loved using these pens to colour in the sun catches. "These fishes are going to look so bright and colourful" Charlie declared. Ellie said that they looked so pretty. They coloured them in very carefully. The pens worked perfectly on the plastic, leaving them bright and colourful with a metallic effect!
The little's also loved threading the cord through, too.
The tropical fish sun catchers are priced at £2.99 for a pack of 6 and are well worth it.
Ellie and Charlie really did enjoy coouring these in. They look lovely hanging on the window handle, the sun catches them really well. They're a perfect summer decoration for any home. :)
Yellow Moon also sell a very good selection of kids arts & crafts supplies and projects, all very reasonably priced.

1) I'm very grateful AND thankful for the NHS. I had a doctors appointment this week regarding headaches. I'm being referred to another eye specialist, just to check the pressure behind my eyes to make sure it's not more serious. Hopefully everything is ok. The doctor did say he thinks stress and anxiety probably plays a big part in the headaches and he could well be right. He is a really great doctor, he really listens, you know? So yes I am grateful and thankful for the NHS and nice doctors!
2) It was the boys parents evening on Tuesday, they're both doing really well. I am so very proud of them both! They're well behaved, polite and they both have lots of friends. So proud.
3) The weather has been amazing the last two boys (touch wood) I hope it stays this way. It's been warm and sunny! I've got lots of washing dry on the washing line and the kids have been able to play outside, too! After over a week of rain and dull, miserable days, the nicer weather is more than welcome.
4) AND!! Big news!! Well, big news for me - I've been nominated on bloggers required as 'One To Watch' Yay!! SO thank you to whoever nominated me.
Thankful Thursday

yesterday after school I had the boys parents evening. (I don't know when E's parents evening is but I am sure it'll be soon).
First I saw Harry;s teacher and I am very pleased to say that Harry is right on target, he's a little bit ahead in fact. He's very good at reading, his hand writing has come along lovely and he's doing brilliant in maths, too. I am really proud of him. I'm going to keep encouraging him to read at home more. He really enjoys reading, which I'm pleased about of course. He takes after me for reading, hehe. I loved looking through his work books. I am impressed with how neat he's keeping his hand writing, (see the picture to the right). His spelling is a lot better now, too!
Second I saw Charlie's teacher! Charlie is doing wonderfully, we'd like to see him go up a shelf in reading before the six weeks holiday. I know he's capable of it, so it shouldn't be too hard. Again, I'm going to keep encouraging him to read at home. He really wants a kindle fire for his birthday, which I think is a fab idea, it'll encourage him to read more - he's always using mine, so I think it'll be the perfect present for him :) He's also doing good in maths and literacy. I am very proud of him, too! I loved seeing all his work and looking in his work books. He also keeps his work nice and neat, he does need to concentrate more on his spelling and copying form the board, I think he rushes sometimes. So we're going to work on him taking his time rather than rushing. Bless him
I'm sure it will be Ellie's parents evening sometime soon, I can't wait to see how she's doing! I know she's doing very well indeed with reading because she is a little book worm and always reading books to me! I love the little letter (on the right) Ellie wrote to me the other day, bless her. I'll be keeping it forever :)
Proud of them all very much, hehe.

A close up of Harry. He has lovely blue eyes. He's only 10 and already started get pimples. He's growing up too fast for my liking!
A close up of Charlie/ He has big blue eye,s too! He has freckles in the summer, when the sun is out. Cute little freckles on his nose, I'll have to get a picture when those are showing. So cute!
A picture of Ellie's blue eyes close up! They all have blue eyes! Blue eyes and blonde hair.
Personally I have green eyes. I tried to take a photo of mine close up but it was difficult, I'll get someone else to take a photo one day. Mind you, the whites of my eyes have many blood vessels showing because I have problems with my eyes.
And I had to share the close up photo of my beautiful cat Lotti. She has lovely, pretty cat eyes, hehe.
