This book is part of the 'Jump up and join in' series. It's all about enjoying the music and relaxing.
It comes with a read and sing a long CD, which is narrated by Carrie and David from Cbeebies. As it states in the 'About Carrie and David' page at the back of the book:
"Carrie and David are passionate about getting all children to sing and are keen to encourage adults to feel more confident in teaching their children music skills"
Ellie couldn't wait to read this book! The fact that's it comes with a read & sing-a-long C.D was a bonus! First Ellie wanted me to read the story to her, with her joining in on the words she could read herself! She is only six but she's a pretty good reader for her age, she joined in with quite a few words.
It's a beautiful children's story about polar bear who is constantly fidgeting! Ellie giggled her way through this book. "He's a funny polar bear who can't ever relax" Ellie told me, aww. "Music helps him relax though" She continued. She really enjoyed this book! After I'd read her the story, we listened to the C.D and read a long with Carrie and David following the words in the book. Every time we heard the whistle it was time to turn the page, which Ellie thought was great.
There are also songs on the CD to read a long to. Ellie enjoyed the 'Chilli's big chill' song best, the words to the song are also towards the back of the book!
The book itself is beautifully illustrated with lovely pictures that match the story perfectly.
In the back of the book are also instructions on how to make your own chilling chimes instrument by using an old coat hanger.
This is a very fun and engaging book, it's educational and entertaining, too.
We really enjoyed this book, it would make a lovely bedtime story, or just a story for anytime of day.
You can buy this book from Egmont priced £6.99 and is well worth the money in my opinion.
