The weekly bits & bobs #2.
09:41
Gosh, it's time for the weekly bits and bobs again - The highs and lows of this past week! That week soon flew by! Here are my best 7 worst bits.
Negatives.
- The weather is still rubbish. It really effects my mood because I can't go out and power walk/slow jog, I never know if it's going to rain or not. Usually it does. I'll have to workout instead.
- I'm so behind on blogging, I really need to catch up. I don't even know why I'm struggling so much with catching up to be honest! I'll hopefully catch up today and tomorrow. I need to schedule some blog posts. I also need to transfer pictures from my camera to my computer.
- I still can't find my missing memory card, which truly sucks because it's a decent one, too! The one I have isn't very big and I'm forever having to delete photos. Hopefully the other one will turn up.
Positives.
- The kids break up for half term tomorrow, well Ellie and Charlie do. Harry breaks up Friday. We're looking forward to the break from the school routine. I can not wait! We really would love to go on a picnic and perhaps a trip to the cinema over the half term holiday.
- I finally received a neurology appointment regarding in idiopathic intracranial hypertension. I'm a bit anxious about it but I know that it needs sorting even if it does result in a lumbar puncture. I'm just anxious about the whole thing but it's good I have the appointment now.
- I had a lovely morning with my sister the other day. We met up for lunch, which we ate along the river bank while we caught up with each others lives, the views were amazing, even if the sun wasn't shining.
- I've been working out and did manage to do the first day of couch to 5k the other day. Really, I'm just using the app as a guide when to run and jog, I'm not sure I'll actually complete the 5k challenge but it's good because it keeps me fit! I've also been reached 10k steps a few times within the last week, yay!
- Ellie and I had a lovely trip to the local market on Saturday. It's only small but Ellie got a chance to spend her money that Auntie C had given her. Ellie chose to buy a red strawberry scented ball and a hula hoop! Bless her. The boys went fishing with there dad (both caught some good sized fish! They had a wonderful time).
- Ellie is well and truly ready for year 4 in September, which I am so pleased about. Charlie is SO ready for high school and is super excited about it. And Harry just wants to have six weeks off school LOL. I know he's ready for year 8! He seriously is growing so fast - I can not believe he's grown over a foot since last September. He's officially taller than me. Crazy.
Things to do and look forward to next week
- I mentioned above about having a picnic and perhaps a trip to the cinema with the kids. It really just depends on how I am (headache wise). I try not to plan in advance. Plus, last minutes plans are the best.
- The boys have dentist next week, I think they'll both be referred for braces. I also reckon they may need a filling :( We'll see.
- I'm hoping we'll get to see my grandparents next week (The kids great grandparents), we haven't seen them for a few weeks. I miss them.
A photo of Charlie and Ellie together:
I really wish Harry would let me take his photo like Ellie and Charlie do but apparently "Taking photos is for kids, I'm not a kid" Righto Harry, you're 12 dude. LOL.
So those are my best and worst, highs and lows of the last week. What are your best and worst bits?

I love this post idea, it's so positive. And it sounds like you've had a really good week. (: Lovely photos x
ReplyDeleteYay, well done on the workout! You are so far ahead of me in terms of stopping the couch potato lifestyle. And the photos look beautiful - what stunning countryside. Hope the rest of the week brings lots of good times :) #bestandworst
ReplyDeleteAh half term is on it's way! Let's hope for some better weather for you all and your running. Hope your appt and the dentist appts go well! I had braces; not too bad. It must be so odd when your kids are taller than you!! Thanks for sharing with #bestandworst xx
ReplyDeleteI am happy you had a good week with a few bumps, but every one has those during the week. Taking time to Work out is always a good thing staying fit and healthy is very important specially being a mum. I suffer from migraines so I know the feeling of having headaches not fun at all, hope those headaches stay away!!! by the way your kids are adorable!!
ReplyDeleteLeslie xoxo
Love this idea of a weekly 'positives and negatives' as I am always struggling for ideas to write about. It's always good when the good out weighs the bad. Have a lovely half term break. #kcacols
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely idea for a post - may have to adopt as part of blog-more-regularly drive! :) Thank you for linking with #KCACOLS and hope to see you again next week.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got a hospital appointment hun and I hope it all goes well. Thanks for linking up to #TheList x
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a wonderful half term week - the picnic sounds fab. Good to hear you got a hospital appointment at last as well. x
ReplyDeletePositives outweighed the negatives - Happy half term! R
ReplyDeleteTotally agree concerning the weather, where I live in France, it has been raining non stop since Sunday
ReplyDeleteIt's so annoying when you can't find something like you're memory card. I hope you'll find it sooner than later. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI know there shouldn't be any excuses but bad weather really affects my desire to work out too! Keep the head up and good luck getting up to date with your blog. Have a great week :)
ReplyDeleteThe weekend was lovely so I hope you had a great time on the picnic with your family. And for the rainy days, there is always the cinema or the arcade. :)
ReplyDeleteHope your having a great half term - I am very jealous of the sound of a picnic!
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather picks up for you for your picnic with the kids being on half term!
ReplyDeleteThat view of river bank is awesome.. what place is that? And kids are adorable great that they gonna have mid term break soon and you gonna have a quality family time togther.
ReplyDeleteSeems like a really good week for you, I hope you find your missing memory card, it's such a pain when you lose them x
ReplyDeleteOh no! I hope the headaches stave off soon and that you enjoy the rest of the half term, hope the dentist goes well for the kids.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the highs outweigh the lows for the week, that's a good week if you ask me! hope your following week is even better : )
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you're super motivated for that 5k goal. That's huge! I need to challenge myself like that.
ReplyDeleteWorking out always makes my week as well. I am behind blogging now too, I hate when it happens. Rain actually makes me feel better lol I love it. It would have been positive for me
ReplyDeleteI am glad that the good things out number the negatives! It is great news that you are going to see a doctor and I hope you get some answers!
ReplyDeleteAwwww sorry to hear about the weather! Here in NY the weather has been shockingly decent.
ReplyDeleteI love hearing about your life! I can relate on the school vacation as my kids are getting ready for it! I think I am as excited (if not more!) for them to be home and summer to get started officially!

Firstly, your kids are adorable so let's just take a second out of this post to point that out. <3
ReplyDeleteAw, we all have our cruddy moments but it looks like you're mostly on the up side of things! You're describing the weather in Missouri, too, lol. It's either swealtering or freezing/downpour here, there's no pleasent in between state as far as the weather's concerned. Add a lack of sidewalks and decent roads and it's actually very hard to jog or bike! You sound like you're still managing to be active and healthy, though, in spite of weather issues.
It looks like you live in a lovely place, though, even with the weather being a total poot. It does look pretty gray. It must be hard to plan last minute adventures when it's always rainy or other such dumb weather. I can't imagine trying to picnic in a downpour!
I like this post idea! It seems like a great week! Your kids are adorable!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a relatively good week! Hope you have a great week this week as well! We have had mostly good things here. The weather has been incredible for us lately which is nice a few days of rain here or there but otherwise good. The kids grandfather got them a trampoline so they are excited. Thats about it!
ReplyDeleteWe are in France and the weather has been terrible :( I hope your appointment goes well. Kaz x
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I do love reflecting and looking back at things. Lovely to hear you've had a great week.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea to list the good and bad things of the week. I should do that too. It helps to remember things and also to realize to ne thankful for the good moments. Good that you got the doctor's appoinment - always important to get checked up.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of thinking about the negatives and the positives of the past week, as long as you can concentrate more on the positives. :) All in all, it seems like you had a good week. As for the week to come, I also like the last minute plans. I hope you can see your grantparents!
ReplyDeleteKids grow super quick! Seems like you have a decent amount planned to keep you guys busy. Not too many lows for us, I try not to let too much get to me when it is not the way we plan or something we really want, kinda keeps the stress to a low. Hope you guys have an awesome summer!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for taking the time out to visit my blog and comment, I truly appreciate it. (Please do not leave URLs/links in the comments, thank you!)
