The Weekly Bits & Bobs.

12:30

Ahh, another week has been and gone and time seem to be going so fast. I wish I could slow it down sometimes! This time of year always seems to fly by. The first couple of months drag but as soon as we reach mid March, it just flies by in the blink of an eye.
Here are my best and worst bits and things to look forward to this week...
I'll start with the negatives, although I don't think there are many!

 Negatives.

The weather is driving me crazy. I want to start power walking and jogging, I quite fancy giving the Couch 2 5K a go but with this weather, it's madness. It's currently pouring with rain. Where did the sunshine go?! Our Picnic plans aren't looking very likely...

I've been so clumsy this week. I've broke a mug, dropped coco pops all over the floor (They're a pain to clear up, especially when the roll there way under the fridge!) Broke my sunglasses, dropped just about everything I have laid my hands on and also ripped my coat. Awesome. I just need to slow down and stop trying to do a hundred things at once.

Over the weekend I had a bit of bad headache (again - it's the brain disease) but it wasn't THAT bad. It's certainly been a lot worse, still though, I didn't really achieve everything I wanted to achieve on my list, it's taken longer than expected.

I've failed on the working out (I'd much prefer power walking and a slow jog to be honest) but I have been eating super healthy and I've been doing A LOT of walking! I'm doing at least 10k steps a day. This HAS to be good for weight loss.

I can't think of any more negatives...

Positives.

Charlie has finished his SATS (almost a week ago) and he feels he did well. I'm proud of him no matter what. He's relieved they're over and I'm relieved for him. Bless him. He did try extremely hard.

I'm slowly working my way through my weekly goals & list, like I said above, it has taken longer than expected but I'm quite proud of myself. I have done so much cleaning, tidying and laundry, I'm quite proud of myself. I managed to blitz the kids rooms, too.
I still need to clean under the fridge, which I'm going to do shortly.

I found a couple of bargains in the charity shops this week. I went in the charity shop to have a browse among the books and I always checkout the DVDs, too. I picked up 'Ground Hog Day' for £1, Disneys 'National Treasures 2 - books of secrets' for £1 and 'Monster High - 15 wishes' for 50p. It's also a bonus that the kids haven't watched any of these movies. I think they'll enjoy National Treasures. Such Bargains! We're going to have a movie night one evening this week (When there's no after school clubs and what not). Such a cheap movie night.. I already have the snacks. I just don't see the point in buying brand new DVD's, pre-loved ones are just the same, as long as they're not damaged of course.

I also picked myself up a couple of books and dropped a pile off into the charity shop which I've read/no longer want or need.

I've almost caught up on laundry. Hoorah! Even if it is for about five minutes, haha. Where does it all come from?!

I managed to finish the book I Started last week 'The Other Child'. It's a psychological thriller and one of the best books I have read for a long time.

I'm looking forward to..

I am very much looking forward to having a movie night with the kids one evening this week. We'll watch one of the 'new' movies I picked up. We already have the snacks. Yay!

Also looking forward to playing board games with the kids. It feels like ages since we've played a good board game. We'll probably play Mouse Trap followed by Dog Bingo - they seems to be the latest favourites.

My sister has Friday off work so we're going to have a catch up! I'm really looking forward to it. It'll be nice to have some adult company for a while, too! Not that I don't enjoy the kids company but everyone needs a conversation with an adult from time to time... One that doesn't involve Shopkins, Minecraft and football! (Not that I know anything about football really, ha)

I'm looking forward to drier weather, isn't everyone?! We wanna go on a picnic!

And of course we are all looking forward half term. A break from the school routine is more than welcome!

What are your best and worst moments this week? Or what are you most looking forward to this week?

  1. All your positives out weigh the negatives, right? Dropping the coco pops is so annoying even after you have cleaned up you will find them somewhere else haha. #BestAndWorst

Se are going to a film and comic convention this weekend and she can't wait. I admire your exercise commitment, BTW! Keep it up.#R2BC
